Hello! I’m LearnedFoot on A03! You’ve matched (or, if you’re a pinch hitter, chosen) on at least one of these fandoms/characters/ships, which already means we have things in comment. Excellent! I am very excited to see what you come up with!

To start, even though I’ve written a fair amount here, I want to say I’m actually very easy to please. As long as you stick in the general area of my likes and respect my DNWs, I’m going to be delighted. Also, I’m equally excited about all of these options! Some sections are longer than others because I have more specific ideas about certain fandoms, but I didn’t request anything I wouldn’t be over the moon to receive.

Big Picture Points

Characters are the most important thing for me in fic. I certainly appreciate a good plot, but seeing more of the characters I love is my number one priority.

I’m fairly open on tone and genre — fluff, angst, and basically everything in-between is generally good by me.

For requests where I’ve asked for ship fic, I define that broadly — everything from pining/flirting/other pre-relationship up through established relationship can make me happy. If you want to write smut I’ve included information on my likes, but I’d be just as happy with something lower rated.

A note about links to past letters: For my own sanity, I tried to keep this letter more streamlined (lol) than some of my past letters, especially in canons where I asked for more/different ship combos than usual. For some ships, I’ve included links to past letters where I go into more detail and have more prompts. I in no way expect you to go reading past letters—those are only there if you WANT extra inspiration. But the general idea is that if you’ve seen me request something for a ship before, you can be assured I still want it, even if it did not specifically make it into this letter.

“Soft” dub-con likes (e.g., sex pollen and the like — though feel free to draw from the hard dubcon likes for that too, if you want):

I don’t really know much about how to describe art, and I will pretty much be guaranteed to love whatever you create because I am just amazed at anyone who can make art, but some specific patterns I’ve noticed in things I like:

Colors

Black and white + one color (esp. red, but really any)
Black and white, grayscale, etc.
Rich colors, colors that glow
Blue is my single favorite color, generally

Styles

Some styles I’ve noticed I like: pop, graffiti, realism, watercolor, cute & cartoon-y.
I don't like porny or super romantic chibis, but I like it for gen or shippy stuff that’s leaning into the cute
I’ve enjoyed both sketchier line art type things and more solid filled in things (<--I really don’t know how to use art terminology, sorry!)

For canons where the characters are famous (BoJack, MCU), or otherwise in the public eye (Suits characters at various times, maybe Superstore during the strike efforts): Always love public reactions to the characters’ work, relationships, life, etc. via social media, reddit, paparazzi articles, magazines, etc. etc.
For any: other characters’ POV/commentary on the requested relationships via texts, social media, etc. Like two characters texting about whether or not a pair is together, or reaction to a relationship announcements on FB, etc.
Story told through workplace documentation. Memos about lawsuits. Reprimands about prank wars. HR paperwork about an intra-workplace relationship. Etc. etc.

Reddit Related:

I am very On Reddit, so rest assured any reddit-specific humor/references will be appreciated just as much as jokes about the canon itself.

Fanvids/Fake Trailers:

For fanvids I prefer vids that focus on/comment on canon as it exists, rather than trying to construct scenes that didn’t happen. I like incorporation of quotes/audio from canon if that’s your thing, but obviously also like plenty of vids without that!

In terms of music and themes, I’ve left some specific theme and music prompts for all my requests, but those are just suggestions if you want them! I’m open to any kind of music or theme and more than happy for you to pick your own.
For fake trailers, obviously very down to make canon seem like something it’s not, since that’s the whole point! I esp. love rom com or romantic drama type trailers for my non-canon ships.

Unhappy endings

Things don't have to be perfect or anything, I just want at least a general sense that things are gonna work out for the characters (and for the ship if it's a ship request)

Unrequested identity headcanons (trans, race, other)

However, I'm always fine with assuming a character’s sexuality is more fluid than canon may let on, including discussion of that

Infidelity involving the requested characters (unless specifically opted into)

Killing off canon love interests to make room for a ship

Breakups, AUing relationships away, etc. are all fine

Permanent, non-canon death of the requested canon characters

Poly or otherwise open relationship involving the requested characters (unless specifically opted into)

I'm fine with the characters seeing other people while also seeing each other in the context of "we're just FWB/dating casually/no commitments" (particularly if that is used to cause pining or jealousy between the ship). But once the character define the relationship/have the "we are committed to each other" talk/are in an established relationship/etc., I want the relationship structure to be monogamous unless otherwise requested

Any character portrayed “on screen” in sexual situations under the age of 15 (backstory references okay in fic).

For art, this DNW includes even suggestions of a sexual situation for characters under the age of 15 -- or characters who are drawn to look pre-pubescent regardless of stated age -- even if the characters are still clothed (i.e., kissing/groping/sexual menacing, etc.)

Breeding kink, lactation kink

Body modifications, including forced feminization

Cross-dressing kink

Daddy/mommy kink (in particular, use of the word “daddy” or “mommy”)

Completely physically pleasureless sex for the victim even in a dubcon/noncon scenario

Forced orgasm, being ashamed of their body responding positively, etc. is all great

AU DNWs

I like canon divergence AUs where the fic is based in the canon setting but goes in a different direction after a certain installment, or changes the outcome of a certain event. So those are fine across the board, whether or not they relate to a specific prompt. But I DNW the following types of AUs unless specifically requested:

AUs that change the canon setting, era, or rules of the universe (e.g., mundane AUs, addition of fantastical elements in a non-fantastical canon, soul mark worlds, omegaverse, high school setting for non-high school canon, coffee shop AU, etc.).
- Changes needed to make requested crossovers work are of course fine (e.g., for the Suits/MCU x-over, fine to assume the Suits characters live in the MCU universe with all the science/magic that entails)
AUs that drastically change the structure of character relationships or fundamentals of their identity (making people related who are not, erasing characters from existence, etc.)

General Thoughts on the Request

Peter is just so fucking endearing to me. I love how hard he tries to do good, I love that he has some bite, I love how whumpable he is. He is my gen LBD for this fandom; I want him to interact with everyone. I love all the relationships he already has in canon, and I want to see how characters he hasn’t met react to him. Also, please feel free to mix and match any of the requests. Like, Peter + Avengers + Zemo? I’m there. Peter + Matt + Guardians? Yes, please! Etc. etc. etc.

As for other characters, I DNW Nebula shipped with any man other than Rhodey (but any woman is fair game, including Gamora and 2014!Nebula/2023!Nebula). Other than that, feel free to include whatever other characters you desire, and whatever ships between those other characters you may want.

Thoughts on the Specific Combos:

Peter Parker & Any Avenger: Feel free to use any of the Avengers, and to interpret that broadly (by which I mean anyone who has ever been on the team, or fought with them in Endgame, or new characters who look poised to possibly join the team one day, like Kate or Kamala or Yelena or Jen). Peter being mentored by another Avenger, teaming up, working to put together another Avengers team—I just want your take on how he would bounce off the rest of the cast.

Peter Parker & Any Guardian of the Galaxy: I loved Peter getting to interact with the Guardians in Infinity War and want more! Maybe he goes on a space adventure with them? Or shows any/all of them around Earth? I love them learning about each others’ cultures. I also really like the idea that the Guardians, not being from Earth, might be less likely to treat Peter as Just a Kid, if that’s something you want to play with.

Peter Parker & Helmut Zemo: I completely fell in love with Zemo over the course of Falcon and the Winter Solider, and I am really interested in how he would interact with Peter. In particular, I want to know how he would react to a super person who did not choose super powers. Also, he has a soft spot for children, and he might still see Peter as somewhat in that category. OTOH, Peter would probably be very skeptical of Zemo, at least at first, which is very interesting.

Peter Parker & Original New Yorkers: I’m just such a sucker for the “people of New York rally around Spider-Man” trope. Peter helps them so much, but when do they help him? The times the city has rallied around their hero to help him during/after a fight, or ways they’ve thanked and remind him why it’s worth it, how they react after the FFH identity reveal, how he interacts with people after the NWH memory wipe, new friends he makes while hiding his identity — anything along those lines.

Peter &/ Matt: I think Matt could help Peter get a handle on his enhanced senses, since that’s something they have in common. And I could see Matt feeling like he had an obligation to take Peter under his wing if he figured out he was young and had similar sensory powers/issues. I think the compare/contrast in their approach to crime-fighting is also interesting. They both believe in non-killing, but Matt is obviously more willing to be incredibly violent up until actual death. It’s also interesting that at this point they are two of the few heroes whose identities are secret, which sets this up well for a lot of identity porn!

Peter/Tony Stark: Gosh, an all time OTP for me, and I’ve been craving it again recently. I really like to see this ship portrayed with: a) a strong sense of mutual affection, where they are both incredibly important to each other; b) a strong sense of mutual compatibility despite the age difference (I like them bonding over science and superheroing and the loses they've both suffered and how hard it is for other people to understand them); and most importantly, c) a strong sense that their relationship is ultimately a real positive for both of them.

That said, I also like that this ship has a lot of potential for angst and pining, so feel free to lean into that if you want. I love Tony realizing he’s attracted to Peter and feeling tons of guilt about it and resisting acting on it for as long as possible; I love Peter realizing he has feelings for Tony but assuming he could never see him that way. I love the pain of them having both mourned each other, especially if it results in overprotectiveness and intense focus on each other. Prompts That Can Combine With Any:

No Way Home Fall Out: I love the place No Way Home left Peter for angst value, so if you want to lean into his sadness/isolation/struggles to support himself/etc., PLEASE feel free. Some specific NWH related prompts:
- At some point, Peter remembers his lawyer catching that brick, and makes the connection to Daredevil (or just suspects there might be more to him than meets the eye). He had a good enough experience with Matt that he figures why not seek him out? He is in desperate need of SOME sort of support system...
- It’s too weird to interact with people who used to know who he is, so Peter ends up reaching out to one of the newer superheroes (maybe Kamala or Kate because they are younger and local to him?) to bond/work with.
- Peter runs into someone he used to know. Does he avoid them? Work with them? Based on Strange in Multiverse of Madness they seem to remember Spider-Man; does he run into weird situations where people know his superhero self but forget other interactions they’ve had? How does he deal with that?
- Tony is resurrected post-NWH. Does he remember Peter and is confused why no one else does? Or does Strange’s spell apply to him, too?
Mentorship: I am really interested in Peter receiving mentorship from non-Tony characters. Who does he turn to after Tony is gone, Beck turned out to be evil, and everyone has forgotten him? Can he trust another mentor after all the loss and pain? Or in an AU where his identity is not forgotten, does he end up taking a leadership position rather than being a mentee in whatever new team develops?

Or: AUs where Tony doesn’t start mentoring Peter during CW, or drops mentoring him quickly (after the Ferry incident, or after Peter turns him down to join the Avengers). Does someone else fill that role? If so, how does that change his approach to superheroing? Or, alternatively, is he stuck on his own? If so, how does he end up getting involved in the larger superhero world? Does he possibly fall in with a villain character? How does that go? Does he end up at odds with the heroes? For Peter/Tony, how does Tony react to any of this?
IW/Snap Related AUs: Different characters get snapped. Maybe a total swap of who does/doesn’t get snapped. Or what if Peter and some of the Guardians stay, but Tony is snapped? Or Peter and Strange stay? Does Peter go on space adventures with the Guardians? Is he part of Nat’s Avengers team on Earth? Does he focus on helping the neighborhood? I also really like AUs where both Peter and Tony survive IW and end up on space adventures with the Nebula! Or what about an AU where IW doesn’t happen? How does Peter get involved with the Avengers in that situation? Or what if the team on Titan wins? How do they get back to Earth? Do they run into Carol?
Losing Powers: I am very interested in a scenario where Peter loses his powers, temporarily or permanently, for whatever reason. How does he react to that, given that he’s built so much of his identity around being Spider-Man? Who does he turn to for help?
Time loops: I love these, particularly when two characters are stuck in it together! I think this would be particularly fun for characters Peter hasn’t met before or barely knows, and this is how they get to know each other. Or for Peter/Tony, and it’s how they get together.
Rescuing Morgan: I always want fic where Peter teams up with another character (or other characters) to save Morgan from danger. I have a particular soft spot for the idea of Bucky and Peter teaming up for this, given their very different relationships to Tony, but open to other ideas, too!
Space Adventures: Whether this is Peter going on adventures with space based characters, or Peter and another (or multiple other) Earth-based characters going to space together, I am there for it.
Peter learns magic! From Strange? Wong? Someone else?

General Thoughts: I adore this show, and I can’t get it out of my brain. The intensity, the stress, the passion, the pain. I love every single character and all their flaws. I love the way they fight, and the way the come together as a family. I love Carmy and Sydney’s ambitions, both separately and together. I love the themes of grief, and Carmy slowly coming to terms with his feelings. I love their struggle to come together as a team in Season 2. It’s just…so, so good, and I want more in this world.

Any and all characters are welcome, and I’m down for any ships you want to include even if they aren’t explicitly requested. But also very down for gen only.

Thoughts and Prompts by Pairings:

Carmy &/Mikey: We got so many tantalizing hints about what this relationship was like, and I want more. Down for anything from totally gen to incest pining (maybe one-sided feelings Carmy --> Mikey) to acted-on incest.

Backstory. What was their childhood like? Carmy clearly worshiped Mikey, but what did Mikey think of him?
When and why did Mikey get into drugs? How did he hide it from Carmy? Were there close calls? What finally prompted him to push Carmy away for good? What did he think of Carmy’s career? How closely did he follow it? (I’m guessing pretty closely…)

Mikey/Richie & Carmy: I like the idea of Mikey and Richie having something in the past, and how that might affect Carmy.

Was the relationship between Mikey and Richie ongoing through their whole lives, off/on, something that only happened once in a while, something that only happened one time or for a specific period of time?
In general, Richie and Carmy mourning Mikey is something I’d love to see more of.

Carmen "Carmy" Berzatto/NYC Chef: I am very into the idea of Carmy being in some sort of abusive dubcony thing with Joel McHale’s character, whether that’s an actual relationship, coerced sex, or Joel McHale’s character simply using sexual harassment as one more tool in his douchebag boss toolbar. Why? Because Carmy whump, that’s why. You know he would repress the shit out of that experience, and I want that angst.

Carmy/Sydney: I absolutely adore this relationship. I already shipped in out of Season 1, and then Season 2 just sent me into overdrive. I adore their sweet moments working together, but also the tensions that sprung up. That thinking about Sydney calmed Carmy down during his panic attack is everything to me—but so is Sydney starting to doubt whether Carmy can be the partners she needs. I’m really curious to see the fallout from the Season 2 finale between them!

General Thoughts: As far as I’m concerned this show is one of the best of all time, and I always want more. I’m constantly astonished by its ability to blend wacky humor with soul crushingly poignant character moments. It has amazingly creative world building and some of the most realistically crafted characters I’ve ever seen, under all the animal puns and slapstick adventures. It’s depressing as fuck, and yet the way the characters keep fumbling on, attempting to connect to each other and often support each other, even when maybe that’s ill advised, actually leaves me oddly hopeful and uplifted.

Any and all other characters are welcome. I’m fine with infidelity, open relationships/poly, etc. in this fandom. I also ship PC/BoJack, Diane/BoJack, and PC/Judah, and while I don’t exactly ship Diane/Mr. Peanutbutter, I find their relationship fascinating and like seeing it explored. And really, I’m good with backstory or background any character/any character. This is Hollywoo(b), baby, I’d buy that they’ve all had sex.

BoJack & Any: I am just utterly fascinated by BoJack as a character and am interested in seeing his relationship with literally any other character(s) on the show explored. Does he ever manage to repair relationships that he totally broke? Are there other characters who end up cutting him out of their lives for good? What was his history with other characters like?

Backstory and missing scenes. What was it really like between him and Mr. PB in the '90s? More on his relationship with PC over time. Moments from his press tour with Diane. Other celebrities he's had fallings out with.
Post canon, who keeps in touch, who doesn’t? For characters who do keep in touch, how does his relationship change? Does PC ever let him spend time with her kid? Do he and Todd still hang out occasionally? Is the finale really the last time he and Diane ever talk? Does he ever reconnect with Hollyhock?
What does he do post-prison? Does he keep going back to do work with incarcerated people? Does he go back to acting, to teaching, to something else? Does he stay sober? Fail to stay sober? Does he make new friends? Revitalize old friendships? Finally make a movie with Kelsey Jannings?

BoJack /& Mr. PB: When I first started watching this show, I never would have predicted finding this dynamic as interesting as I do. I love that BoJack sees Mr. Peanutbutter as a rival and an annoyance, and meanwhile Mr. Peanutbutter is all “this is my good friend BoJack, I love him so much.” It would have been so easy to have them just be rivals — especially because of the Diane of it all — and yet, the show refused to make it that simple, and I love that by the end Mr. PB is one of the few people from BoJack's old life who still wholeheartedly supports him. The way he stuck by him in the final season was really sweet.

I love this combo both as a ship and platonically, so feel free to go either way, even with prompts that are on-their-face shippy. Like, Mr. PB and BoJack dealing with fake dating and having it bring them closer as friends? Sounds delightful!

The way that Mr. Peanutbutter’s happy-go-lucky attitude is clearly covering for his own pain is what makes him so interesting to me, and it was nice to see him get some self-awareness at the end there. BoJack getting to see more of that side of him, them dealing with their pain together, and/or trying to grow together would be great.
Post-finale: After he gets out of prison, does BoJack crash with Mr. PB again for a while? Does Mr. PB help him get on his feet in other ways? Maybe they do a project together?
BoJack and Mr. Peanutbutter play characters who are dating or married in a movie or play.

Sarah Lynn Related; Sarah Lynn &/ BoJack: Sarah Lynn is my very favorite character on a show full of characters I adore. Her story is so predictably tragic (she literally jokes about how she’s going to die young in the first episode she appears in), and yet despite the predictability, the tragedy hits home because while in many ways she’s a cliche, she is also a distinct character. She’s smart and kind of weird and wanted to be an architect, and she breaks my heart.

I’m not super interested in Sarah Lynn as a child/on Horsing Around (I don’t mind that backstory being included, but I would prefer it’s not the entire fic), but beyond that, I’m open to anything: backstory from when she was a pop superstar on up to the start of the show, missing moments from the show, AU where she lives and what happens next, etc. Happy, sad, funny, angsty, bittersweet: it’s all good with me.

In terms of her relationship with BoJack in particular, I am really fascinated by how simultaneously awful they are for each other (particularly him for her), and yet how they also understand each other in a way no one else in their lives can, because of their shares history. Platonic, romantic, or whatever in-between you want to explore, I’m all about the mix of pain/destruction and comfort/acceptance.

How did Sarah Lynn go from top-of-the-charts to semi-has been?
I’m really interested in the loneliness she expressed feeling as a superstar. How did she deal with that? What if BoJack hadn’t admitted he was trying to get her to star on his show that one time he visited? Might they have been able to really reconnect as friends then?
Sarah Lynn ends up spending time with any of the other characters. Like, how would it go if she ended up on a road trip with Diane? Did she and Mr. PB ever meet at a party? Did she hear Sextina Aquafina call her a has-been on TV and have a reaction the next time they crossed paths? Anything you can think of!

Russian Doll Time Loop: Obviously I waive my universe-rule-bending DNW if you end up wanting to do this. For me, the key element of the time loop is: 1) they are stuck in it together, 2) the loops end in death (though done more in a darkly humorous rather than gruesome way). And for this prompt I feel like it also makes sense to include the “face trauma head-on to get out” element, and I like the idea of them meeting for the first time through looping together.

That’s basically the entire thought behind this request. I love the idea of Harvey and/or Jessica trying to reign Tony in. I imagine a lot of bumping heads, but maybe also begrudging respect and eventually admiration and even friendship or more.

Anyway, go wild! Whatever this sparks for you, I want to get it! I really adore all of these characters, and will be thrilled to see them interacting. Feel free to set this whenever in either canon’s timeline you want to make it make sense, and feel free to incorporate whatever other characters you want. In terms of other ships, any canon ship from either canon is fine. I am also down for: Tony/Any Man Other Than Steve Rogers, Tony/Natasha, Harvey/Jessica, and, of course, Harvey/Mike.

Accidental Baby Acquisition: Tony unexpectedly ends up with a baby. Maybe it is his. Maybe it’s a random alien child. IDK. Whatever the deal, he needs his trusty lawyer/legal team to help him figure out WTF to do.
Russian Doll Time Loop: I love these, and would love to see it with these characters. Obviously I waive my universe-rule-bending DNW for this request. For me, the key element of the time loop is: 1) they are stuck in it together, 2) the loops end in death (though done more in a darkly humorous rather than gruesome way). And for this prompt I feel like it also makes sense to include the “face trauma head-on to get out” element, and I like the idea of them meeting for the first time through looping together.

Shippy Prompts for Harvey/Tony and Tony/Jessica:

I am fine with a wide range of things, from a one-night stand to FWB to messy complicated feelings to actual romance. I especially love the idea of either of these pairs inching towards some kind of unexpected emotional intimacy due to having sex, whether that be the intimacy you can only find with a stranger you know you’ll never see again after that one night or something more long-lasting.
For either pair, they are both down with one-night stands (or, at least, I assume Jessica sometimes is, we KNOW the other two are). They both run in the rich person circles in NYC. Maybe they fall into bed together one night. What happens after that? Do they never see each other again but remember it fondly? Maybe keep tabs on each other from a distance? Do they see each other again, for friendship, for sex, or for something more? Does Tony end up hiring Harvey or Jessica as his lawyer because he was impressed by them? OR do they only run into each other occasionally?
I love 5 times and 5+1 formats in general, and that sounds really fun for this request in particular. 5 times they slept together. 5 times they didn’t sleep together and the one time they did. 5 times they pissed each other off and the one time they got along. 5 times Harvey or Jessica saved Tony’s ass, and the one time Tony saved them. Etc. etc. Whatever you can think of!
Harvey or Jessica is Tony’s lawyer, because Tony hires the best. But they are both arrogant and don’t love being told what to do. So they butt heads, a lot. But they also have all this sexual tension. Maybe the best way to deal is to fuck it out…
Charity Auction Date: I love the idea of this for Harvey/Tony in particular. Again, they both run in rich people circles. Maybe this is how they meet. Or maybe Harvey is bullied into putting himself up for auction by Jessica, and Tony thinks it would be amusing to buy his lawyer. Or Tony is bullied into doing it by Pepper, and promises he’ll sign on as a client with Pearson Hardman if Harvey just saved him from having to go on a date with random fan…

For Harvey Specter/Mike Ross & Tony Stark very happy for it to be focused on the crossover angle, with the ship just in the background or hinted at OR the other way around, with the focus being on Harvey/Mike, but maybe they come together while working on a case for Tony, or at an event thrown by Stark Industries or whatever. Or some balance! Whatever inspired you.

Given Shiv’s canonical situation, my “focus on pregnancy” DNW is waived for her canon pregnancy. General Thoughts: This show is one of my all time favorites ever, and while I think the ending was perfect, it also left me wanting to know so much more about what happens next. Who rises and who falls? Do the sibs ever re-connect? Can any of these characters truly find a happy endings, or is it mess after mess after mess? I want whatever answers you have!

Thoughts and Prompts by Pairings:

Gerri Kellman/Roman Roy: Gerri/Roman is my Succession OTP, and I loved everything about their story, from the way they came together (both the kinky sexual element AND the part where Gerri actually seemed invested in developing Roman’s business skills and Roman seemed to flourish under her tutelage) to the spectacular falling apart. I love that even after everything that went down in Season 4, you could see the briefest flickers of caring—Gerri not liking that people were laughing at the video of Roman crying; Roman drinking her drink in his last scene.

What I’m looking for here is just anything that explores that relationship—the good, the bad, the beautiful, the ugly. I’m here for any range of endings for them, from improbably happy to complete disaster, and I’d be just as happy with fic that’s simply pining or complicated but unconsummated lingering feelings as I would full blown sex and/or romance.

Post-canon, Gerri and Roman reconnect. What could bring them back together after everything that happened? Does Roman call Gerri in a fit of moroseness? Do they somehow end up in a business entanglement again? Something about the dick pic or their relationship in general leaks to the press and brings them back together to deal? A family event?
Roman wants to start up his own business venture of some sort (maybe on his own post-canon, or an AU where the sibs just let the damn company go after Logan’s death and continue on the path of doing their own thing) and goes to Gerri for help. Things develop from there.
Season 2 finale AU: Logan decides he does want to try to use Gerri as a sacrificial lamb. She and Roman get married/pretend to be dating/whatever as a way to try to force his hand. (Same kind of thing could also work as a Season 4 AU where Logan lives—like maybe instead of delivering the news about Gerri being fired for his dad, Roman offers to team up with her to try to turn it around…)
The family reacts to news of a Gerri and Roman relationship that is more than just him sending her unwanted dick pics.
Gerri is marrying someone else. Roman freaks out/pines while watching the ceremony/whatever else.
Gerri hates that she misses Roman, but she does. Does she act on that, or just think about it…?

Iterations on Shiv, Tom, and Matsson: Oh my god was I obsessed with the Matsson/Shiv dynamic in Season 4. The push-pull. The attraction, but perhaps also repulsion. How they used that attraction to build some level of trust and establish their working relationship, but also how Matsson turned it around as a reason to dismiss Shiv as a CEO candidate. How fucking WEIRD Matsson is (Alexander Skarsgård was a revelation in this role). Shiv’s fury at his betrayal. Topping it all off with making Tom CEO, and how that adds a whole new complicated layer to the game. I just want to see anything that explores their dynamic and power games more. This for sure does not have to have a happy ending, for any of them.

Also, feel free to throw Ebba into the mix if you want, too! The messier, the better with these guys!

Listen, Shiv is down, but she’s never out. Once she brushes herself off from the betrayal, she decides it’s time to work her way back into Matsson’s good graces, and if she has to use sex to do it, well, that has some upsides, right?
Shiv decides to get revenge on Matsson in a way that involves getting close to him, first. Very close. (Or maybe it involves getting close to Ebba..?)
Post-canon, Shiv is still married to Tom in a complicated relationship, Tom is still working for Matsson, that means Matsson is still in Shiv’s orbit. She’s angry at Tom, she’s angry at Matsson, she’s angry at herself, and maybe that means she doesn’t always make the best choices. Choices like hooking up with Matsson (or Mattson and Tom and the same time…), or getting drunk and somehow ending up married to him, etc…
Tom and Mattson are getting along very well. Very, very well. Too well? Shiv has questions.
Shiv and Tom are attempting to make their marriage work, but Matsson keeps messing with them at key moments (calling Tom in to do bullshit work on their anniversary, shit like that). Is that because he has an interest in one or both of them, is it just a sick power game, does he think it keeps Tom on his toes…?
AU where Matsson keeps Shiv as the American CEO. Maybe that means Shiv’s relationship with Tom is over, maybe not. Either way, it means she and Matsson are working closely together, and things get messy…
Shiv strikes out on her own (or maybe even with Roman!) on a business venture that pits her against Tom and Mattson. Sparkes fly.

General Thoughts on the Request: I fucking adore this show, with all its silly bad law and banter and complex relationships of love and loyalty and hurt and betrayal and forgiveness and, oh yes, banter. I like the quippy, easy breeziness of the early seasons as well as the angst and the drama of the later season (that prison arc, hot damn), so whatever speaks to you the most is what I want to get!

I love the whole cast, so feel free to incorporate whatever other characters you want, and any ships between those characters.

Ship Specific Thoughts/Prompts:

Mike Ross/Harvey Specter: One of my current most burning OTPs. They have everything I love in a mentor/mentee ship. Being centrally important to each other! Enough of an age gap and experience differential to really have a mentorship! But the mentee character still being very brilliant at what they do (for a rookie) and having their own POV about how to go about things! An easy banter and generally just very much enjoying each others’ company! Clear admiration for each other! But also emotional repression and difficulty expressing approval/affection on Harvey’s side! Intense, crazy, “I will risk destroying my own life for you” loyalty from the word go! Epically painful fights! But always, always forgiving each other in the end!

I adore get together fic for them. I love pining, and can see it easily on either/both sides. But extended pining isn’t the only option for them! I am also down for either/both developing feelings over the course of the fic, and/or either/both being oblivious dumbasses who don’t realize their own feelings at first.
Or established relationship fic! How do they deal with major milestones. The commitment talk? Their first fight? Moving in together? Engagement? Marriage?
In terms of sexual dynamics, I like everything from vanilla through having D/s-y dynamics in bed, preferably with Mike in the sub role (though that does not have to mean physically bottoming!)
All the romance tropes: Seriously, if there is a fan-ficcy romance trope that you can think of combining with this pairing, I want it. Fake dating/marriage? Yes! Accidental baby acquisition? Please. There’s only one bed? Duh! Canadian shack? Obviously. Fuckbuddies with feelings? PLEASE. Hurt/comfort? ALWAYS. Etc. etc. etc. Go wild.
Kidfic: One discovers they had a kid they didn’t know about, or otherwise end up adopting unexpectedly. Or they decide to adopt together. Falling in love through caring for the kid. Cute domestic scenes!
Different universe AUs: This is the one canon where I am down with different universe AUs. In particular, I really love slavery AUs, omegaverse, BDSM, and weird mandated-by-the-state marriage AUs. If writing something along those lines sounds appealing, I have a LOT of thoughts and prompts in my AU Exchange and Just Married letters.
Different First Meetings: I love the idea of them meeting in different ways, particularly in setups where Harvey is still a lawyer but he either meets Mike at a somewhat different time, or when Mike has chosen a different path to try to make ends meet. It’s easy to imagine, since their original meeting was down to chance anyway. If you want specific ideas, I have a bunch at my AU Exchange Letter. But I’m open to basically any idea you have!
- The one thing I’m not interested in is a first meeting where Mike is already a successful lawyer (or successful at any fulfilling job) or law student at a top school. A key part of their dynamic for me is Harvey being surprised by Mike’s brilliance and his unexpected willingness to give him an opportunity Mike is beyond grateful for, so I prefer Mike being in a situation where he’s not living up to his potential
Canon Divergence AUs: Another thing I love here. Again, I’d direct you to my AU Exchange Letter for expanded prompts. But some quick ones:
- Harvey doesn’t hire Mike in the pilot
- Different consequences for the lie
- Harvey takes longer to forgive Mike after the Season 2 finale
- Mike goes to work for Forstman
- Mike serves his whole prison sentence, or Harvey goes to prison instead
In terms of the canon relationships—frankly, with this ship I am fine with Harvey and Mike having what amounts to an emotional affair while in other relationships, but I 100% do not want them physical cheating because that is such a big moral code for Harvey. AUing the relationships away, adding in breakups, setting it when they're both single, etc. all work. I am also down with Harvey and Mike dating OCs during the fic if you want (esp. if it makes the other jealous), again as long as there is no physical cheating. I am also down with any sort of backstory relationships you want to add for them, including Harvey/Jessica.

Mike Ross/Harvey Specter & Any Male Villain: Feel free to use any baddies that make sense to you, whether from the show or OCs. Also happy for this to be Bad Guy/[Harvey or Mike] & Harvey/Mike. I was thinking this would be a good combo for some potential whump and/or h/c and/or complicated emotions, along the lines of:

Bad guy made them do it (ideally with mutually pining)
Bad guy noncons one of them, the other rescues them or helps them deal in the aftermath.
Bad guy beats up one or both of them; other rescues them or hurt/comforts in the aftermat
Kidnapped! Together? One rescues the other?
Bad guy blackmails one of them. Maybe to betray the other?

Mike Ross/Original Sleazy Male Client & Harvey Specter: I am just really into the idea of Mike getting in over his head, especially in a dubconny way, with a sleazy client, whether it’s something as simple as the client getting too handsy, up through full on dub-con/non-con pressured sex (“Oh, I’ll happily sign with you/not fire you/etc., if you give an extra incentive…”). And then Harvey finding out and reacting. Happy for Harvey/Mike or gen between them!

How long does Mike keep it a secret? If it’s a while, does Harvey notice something’s off? Is he annoyed that Mike isn’t doing his work as well as normal because he’s distracted/upset? Does he notice something between Mike and the client but think it’s consensual and get mad about that (whether for shippy jealously reasons or simple "that’s terrible business" reasons)? Or is he completely oblivious, much to his own dismay when he finally leans the truth?
Does Mike tell Harvey, or does Harvey find out another way? Either way, how does Harvey react? I’m guessing the answer might involve beating the guy up and/or crushing him legally. Probably “and,” if we’re being honest. But does he also manage to comfort Mike in a helpful way?
Maybe this is set during the Season 2 finale fight, and Mike doesn’t think he can turn to Harvey for help?
If you want to write the dirtybadwrong client/Mike porn I very much want to read it, but I'm equally happy with a fic that glosses over the specifics and just focuses on the emotional fallout.

Jessica Pearson & Harvey Specter: I just love their friendship! I don’t have a lot of specific prompts for this one, but I’d love to see more of their backstory or their friendship developing over time.

Are there major shifting points in their relationship from pure mentor/mentee to something closer to colleagues and friends?
What was Harvey like when Jessica first met him? Did she ever meet his family? Whether she did or not, what did his family think of this woman taking such an interest in him?
How does their friendship continue after the show? Do they ever work together again?
Epistolary fic showing their emails/texts/etc. over time, after the show, etc.
If you wanted to combine this with Harvey/Mike, I’d also love anything about Jessica’s reaction to that, or her POV on it as an outsider. Or her toast to Harvey at their wedding! Or Harvey’s toast to her at a Jessica/Jeff Malone wedding!
- Also down for a fic here where Harvey is unrequitedly pining over Mike and Jessica realizes/helps him deal in some way. In that situation, I'd prefer the fic not shut down the possibility of Mike *ever* returning feelings, but totally fine to have them unrequited in the space of the fic.

Jessica Pearson/Mike Ross/Harvey Specter: My needs here are simple. I like the idea of making the Jessica/Harvey --> Harvey/Mike mentorship sexual. Especially with some D/s dynamics thrown in for good measure.

Sean Cahill/Harvey Specter: I was just really into their relationship, especially in the first half of Season 6, and would love to see it become sexual/romantic.

They are both under such pressure and have so much riding on the case in Season 6; having that spill over to late nights drinking together, finding solace and/or moments of escape from the stress in bed, etc. seems great.
Happy for this to be complicated and unequal, where one is just using sex as an outlet for stress relief while the other has Actual Feelings. Or they both have feelings but maybe only one actually wants to do something about it… (OTOH, also very happy for a version where they are both on the same page about being FWBs, fuckbuddies, stress relief, temporary, etc.)
Would love to see Harvey pining over Mike and using Sean as a stand-in, whether or not Sean realizes.
- If you go this route, I'm fine with having Harvey's pining for Mike be unrequited. I would prefer the fic not shut down any possibility of Mike ever returning feelings in any way (by which I mean please don't include a scene where Mike states "I am 100% straight it is insane you would ever think I could possibly have feelings for you ever at any point no way could that ever happen" or something). But having Mike be devoted to his relationship with Rachel while Harvey quietly pines and deals with that through Sean = 100% great. (Though Harvey/Sean --> Harvey/Mike or possible Harvey/Mike is also very welcome)

Cameron Dennis/Harvey Specter: I love the idea of these two having a fraught and perhaps not entirely consensual (or at least not entirely healthy) sexual history.

Maybe young Harvey thought he was super into banging his boss, only to realize he was in over his head.
Or maybe it involved pressure/coercion from the start and he knew it wasn’t right but went along with it anyway because he felt like he had to.
I’m down for super porny dirtybadwrong takes, but also for something unporny that focuses more on dealing with the effect on Harvey, his feelings about it at the time or later with some distance, how it effects his other relationship going forward, who (if anyone) he ever opens up to about it, etc.
If you also like Harvey/Mike, very down for a fic where this backstory colors any relationship they have because Harvey is too worried about being another Cameron.

General Thoughts on the Request: I find this show endlessly charming and fun (and I also love how political it is, so feel free to incorporate that if you want). These two are my fave pair in the whole thing. I love how Jonah so earnest and just completely desperate for any sign of approval or affection from Garrett, and how much Garrett totally knows that, and messes with him all the time (I find Garrett’s dry humor hilarious. And everything about him. I adore Garrett). But I think it’s clear that under that all, Garrett really cares about Jonah too, it’s just hard for him to express that. Adding romance/getting together into the mix just takes that dynamic and amps it up in a fun way.

In general, I love the upbeat tone and humor of the show, and I’m looking for fics, art, comics, vids, etc. that matches that general feel. Feel free to let the work get serious if/when it need to—the show does!—but I am hoping for an overall vibe that’s more fun and hijinks than dark and painful.

Or do they develop feelings over the course of the marriage/relationship (or “relationship” if it’s fake)? Do they confess once they realize? Or do they go through a divorce/annulment/revealing it was fake only to discover they both liked it better when they were together?
Reality-show related: I love the idea of these two being on a reality show together. Maybe they decide to do something like The Amazing Race together. Or maybe they accidently end up on the same show? Maybe their co-workers submit them both for a dating show and they both get on… Feel free to use real reality shows, or make one up.
Soulmates: I don’t normally ask for soulmate stuff, esp. in canons set in the real world, but I love it for them, especially if at least one of them is resistant to the idea. I feel like Garrett would be so hilariously cynical about the whole idea, or maybe Jonah would have some very earnest political take about how the whole concept is Bad and Retrograde, Actually. Or whatever. I would just love to see your take on how these characters would react to a world with soulmates. I’m down for whatever kind of soulmate worldbuilding you want, including one where soulmates are rare.
Accidental Child Acquisition: I love the idea of one of them having to suddenly deal with a kid they did not expect. Maybe one of them finds out an old one-night stand had a baby? Or a relative drops a kid at their door? Maybe this is when they’re roommates so the other is forced to help out?
Apocalypse: Zombie apocalypse! Aliens invade! If throwing these characters into that kind of scenario sounds fun, please feel free.
Time loop: The two of them stuck in a time loop together sounds hilarious.
