Hello! You’ve matched (or, if you’re a pinch hitter, chosen) on one of these pairs and freeforms, which means we already have something in common. Excellent! I am so excited about this exchange, and thrilled to see what you come up with!

To start, even though I’ve written a fair amount here, I want to say I’m actually very easy to please. As long as you stick in the general area of my likes and respect my DNWs, I’m going to be delighted. Also, I’m equally excited about all of these options! Some sections are longer than others because I have more specific ideas about certain character combos (or because I was coping and pasting from past letters where I had more letter writing energy), but I didn’t request anything I wouldn’t be over the moon to receive.

Characters are the most important thing for me in fic. I certainly appreciate a good plot, but seeing more of the characters I love is my number one priority.

I’m fairly open on tone and genre — fluff, angst, and basically everything in-between is good by me.

For the pairs where I’ve requested ship fic, I define that broadly — everything from pining/flirting/other pre-relationship up through established relationship can make me happy. Specific sections will give you more detail on what I’m most interested in for each ship. If you want to write smut I’ve included information on my likes, but I’d be just as happy with something lower rated.

Tropes! Obviously freeforms for this exchange cover a lot of these, but some things that never go wrong for me:

  • I like the idea of some combo of they can feel a sense of each others’ emotions, physical sensations, it hurts or is otherwise uncomfortable to be too far apart, that kind of thing.
    
  • I’m not so interested in actually being about to read each others’ thoughts.
    I esp. like the idea of this being super uncommon/caused by some weird sort of spell or sci-fi whatever, so they have no idea what’s going on at first

I don’t really know much about how to describe art, and I will pretty much be guaranteed to love whatever you create because I am just amazed at anyone who can make art, but some specific patterns I’ve noticed in things I like:

For my age-difference ships where one character is underaged: the older character kinking on the younger one's youth (I would prefer it to be a neutral fact or a point of concern, not an active turn-on. They can — and preferable should — find the person hot, but without emphasis on "they look so young" or the like).

AU DNWs
I like canon-divergent AUs where the fic is based in the canon setting but goes in a different direction after a certain installment, or changes the outcome of a certain event, but DNW other AU types. So please:

• No AUs that change the canon setting, era, or rules of the universe (e.g., mundane AUs, addition of fantastical elements in a non-fantastical canon, soul mark worlds, A/B/O, high school setting, different jobs, etc.).
  
  
• No AUs that drastically change the structure of character relationships or fundamentals of their identity (making people related who are not, erasing characters from existence, making major friendships or relationships never have happened unless it’s a result of diverging canon before they get together, etc.).

A note about the structure of the fandom-specific sections: Since the freeforms work as prompts on their own, in the fandom-specific sections I mostly I focused on general thoughts about the relationships, with some prompts that can be mixed with a number of the freeforms, and expanded thoughts on certain freeforms.

This is all just meant to be helpful. Do not feel obligated to use any of my prompts if you have your own idea of where to go with the freeforms, and definitely do not take any singling out of specific freeforms as a suggestion I want those more. Why I requested it: As far as I’m concerned this show is the best thing on TV right now, and I always want more. It’s depressing as fuck, and yet, the way the characters keep fumbling on, attempting to connect to each other and often support each other, even when maybe that’s ill advised, actually leaves me oddly hopeful and uplifted.

What I’m looking for: When I first started watching this show, I never would have predicted finding this dynamic as interesting as I do. I love that BoJack sees Mr. Peanutbutter as a rival and an annoyance, and meanwhile Mr. Peanutbutter is all “this is my good friend BoJack, I love him so much.” It would have been so easy to have them just be rivals — especially because of the Diane of it all — and yet, the show refused to make it that simple. I’m also really curious to see if anything in their dynamic changes now that BoJack is maybe getting his shit together, while Mr. Peanutbutter is rushing into another disastrous marriage, and finally has more of a sense of his own flaws. (In general, the way that Mr. Peanutbutter’s happy-go-lucky attitude is clearly covering for darkness is what makes him so interesting to me. (This scene really says it all.)

Even though most of these freeforms seem shippy, I requested both gen and ship because I think it would be just as fun to see them dealing with these freeforms in a gen way as it would having them be a catalyst for them to get together. Totally gen fake dating? LOL, I am here for that. And if you do go shippy, I’m happy for it to be a complete disaster if you want.

Why I requested it: I want the Doctor (really, any 2005 Doctor!) to hang out with my troubled faves.

What I’m looking for: Generally, wherever you want to go with these, I want you to take me. But some very brief thoughts and prompts for each pair:

BoJack: Does meeting the Doctor change his perspective on anything? Does it help him get his life together?

Sarah Lynn: Gosh, let her travel with the Doctor rather than meet her tragic end, I want it so bad. I’d love the Doctor picking her up when she’s a total mess, and deciding to show her the wonders of the universe and help give her a new path.

Abed Nadir: Abed finds out Inspector Spacetime is basically real! He’s trained for this forever! I just think they would have the most fun adventures, whether it’s Abed getting to experience an alien planet, or The Doctor getting sucked into an adventure at Greendale. I imagine that Abed would take the whole thing pretty much in stride, and the Doctor would be fascinated by this calm kid who somehow isn’t confused by a time-traveling alien showing up.

WhiJo: I just want his commentary on literally anything. He has the best commentary. Also he deserves something fun after his house burned down :(

Nebula: The Doctor is just so good at helping and getting through to people in pain, I would love to see them do that with Nebula at literally any point during Nebula’s timeline. If you do Eleven, Twelve, or Thirteen, feel free to either have the Doctor think about/acknowledge that Nebula reminds them of Amy or totally ignore it as you so desire!

Rocket: I think The Doctor would probably find Rocket fascinating and unique, but would also take such issue with his love of guns, theft, and general disregard for the law. On the flip side, I think Rocket would initially find the Doctor weird and annoying, but might eventually come to appreciate their faith in people, even if he can’t admit he appreciates it.

Tony Stark: Arrogant, brilliant people who ultimately just want to do the right thing. Tension! Banter! Frustration! Admiration! There are so many ways the two of them interacting could go and I want them alllll.

Kylo Ren: Can The Doctor get through to him? I’d love the Doctor semi-kidnapping him as a way to help save the universe.

Eliot Waugh: Eliot has been through so much, and is so jaded, but I think the Doctor could still show him things to marvel at — and in return I think the Doctor would be fascinated by magic. I do ship Eliot/Quentin, and if you want to have Eliot dealing with Q's death and his feelings about that, I am down.

Why I requested it: These are some crossover pairs I think would be hella fun. As you’ll see, I requested most of the same freeforms as for my Doctor Who gen pairs, and then some shippy ones I thought would also be enjoyable.

What I’m looking for: Some thoughts on what I like about the idea of these relationships:

Ten/Tony: I feel like these two would rub each other completely the wrong way because they are both so arrogant in their ways. BUT they would both also be reluctantly impressed by each other, and maybe come around to each other (or maybe not, but be attracted anyway). I’m imagining a real Slap Slap Kiss Kiss type dynamic. I’m not really looking for a grand true love here, but an “I hate you but you’re hot” fuck, or a fun fling, or even making out mostly for a mission but a little because they want to all sounds great.

If you want to have this somehow segue into Peter/Tony, I’d be down (maybe Ten noticed Tony’s attraction even if Tony is in denial?). But obviously I am not expecting that at all. If Peter comes up at all, just please don’t have Tony go on about how he’s like a son to him or something. Also totally down to have this set way earlier in Tony’s timeline—heck, even before he becomes Iron Man if you want.

Thirteen/Nebula: I think Thirteen would be absolutely amazed by and fascinated with Nebula, and find her gorgeous and fantastic. I think Nebula would initially find Thirteen’s cheeriness frustrating and off-putting, but would warm as she realized there is a lot more to this woman than it initially seems. I’d love to see them discover the darkness in each other and find bonding points over that. Or Thirteen helping fix Nebula (physically). From grand romance through one-time comfort sex, I’m here for whatever.

Eliot/Any Male Doctor, Jack Harkness/Eliot: Eliot deserves happiness, damn it. Whether it’s a fun fling or something more, I just want him getting to see the universe or having adventures while having some hot sex. I do ship Eliot/Quentin, and if you want to have Eliot dealing with Q's death and his feelings about that through this relationship with the Doctor or Jack, I am down.

What I’m looking for: Okay, so obviously the theme here is that I want to see MCU Peter Parker interact with the Netflix Marvel characters. I think the compare/contrast there is just really interesting: He, like them, focuses on street-level crime in New York. But unlike them, he’s also been brought into (and buys into) the Avengers “big leagues.” Plus, personality-wise he’s just so different. I also think the Netflix characters could all have things to teach him.

Prompts (mix of character specific and general):

• Post-FFH, Peter dealing with his identity reveal. Do one of the Netflix characters decide to take pity on him and help? Does one of the Netflix villains go after him?

Why I requested it: This is my MCU OTP. There can never be enough fic of them for me, simple as that.

What I’m looking for: I really like to see this ship portrayed with: a) a strong sense of mutual affection, where they are both incredibly important to each other; b) a strong sense of mutual compatibility despite the age difference (I like them bonding over science and superheroing and the loses they've both suffered and how hard it is for other people to understand them); and most importantly, c) a strong sense that their relationship is ultimately a real positive for both of them. I really do not want any flavor of Tony manipulating Peter or Peter feeling used or put in a bad position by Tony — other characters can think that’s what’s going on, Tony can be really self-conscious and worried about making sure that’s not what’s happening, but I ultimately I want their internal dynamic to be a good one.

That said, I also like that this ship has a lot of potential for angst and pining, so feel free to lean into that if you want. I love Tony realizing he’s attracted to Peter and feeling tons of guilt about it and resisting acting on it for as long as possible; I love Peter realizing he has feelings for Tony but assuming he could never see him that way. I like either or both being super damaged by the events of IW and Endgame, especially if it results in overprotectiveness and intense focus on each other.

But these is one freeform that feels like it could use clarification, and two ideas that I am interested in that aren’t obvious or included in my past requests, and feel like they could combine with some of the freeforms above:

• Dimension Travel—If you want to make them meet an evil version of themselves, and perhaps have it go to dubcon or noncom territory, please do. Also feel free to draw from the comics for that. • Backstory Steve/Tony: I have long craved P/T fic where Tony had a relationship with Steve in his backstory. I’m not looking for Steve bashing here, but I like the idea of Peter being super insecure over it and Tony having to convince him that in his eyes, no one holds a candle to Peter, not even Captain Fucking America. Some specific ideas for that:
  
  • Peter knows about the background relationship all along, and it has him convinced he could never be enough
    
  • Peter doesn’t find out about it until later, maybe after they are already dating, and it freaks him out
    
  • The hookup happens during the five year Endgame gap and is really about Tony and Steve’s respective losses (of Peter and whatever Steve ship you like, Bucky or Sam would both work for me), but Peter has a hard time believing that when he comes back

To be clear, if you’re not interested in any of the above that is so totally fine, I just think the freeforms work as prompts on their own, and you need more inspiration check out my past letters!

A note on timelines: I’d prefer fic where the events of Civil War and Homecoming happened as in canon, but after that, it’s free rein. Post-Homecoming AU where Thanos never happened; AU from some point in IW or Endgame or FFH; Endgame and/or FFH fix-it: it’s all good! Though obviously for the resurrection based stuff I was really thinking of that as post-Endgame, and that is where I’d most like to see it.

When it comes to Tony and Pepper, I really like Pepper, and I DNW her dying or Tony cheating on her with Peter. I also DNW poly/open relationship for them. So I’d prefer a situation where they’ve broken up, or break up over the course of the fic, or, if this is post-Endgame, a situation where she’s moved on before Tony is somehow brought back and he has to accept that. Alternatively, while I don't want an AU where she and Tony were never together, I'm fine with an AU where they just never got back together post-Civil War, or where they broke up during the Endgame five years. Backstory references to other relationships or having flings before he gets together with Peter in the fic is also fine.

For Peter, I'm fine with mentions of his crush on Liz, his relationship with MJ, or other high school/college romances happening before or during the fic, but a DNW him cheating on anyone or poly.

Morgan: Morgan is adorable, and Tony is adorable with her, so I’m fine with her existing. However, I like to think Tony is a good dad, so if you do have a world where she exists, please don’t make it impossible for Tony to be seeing her. She doesn’t have to be a focus at all, but no, “and then they stayed married on an alien planet forever” or something. That said, also totally fine for you to AU her away if you don’t want to deal with her, even if you otherwise keep Endgame.

Why I requested it: This ship just goes straight to my id, and I think there is a lot of fun stuff that could happen with them with these tropes.

What I’m looking for: I’m down for a whole range, from unhappy to shippy happy ending. These two are just — their relationship is everything I’ve ever wanted in a hero/villain ship. The intensity of their connection, the literal force connection (I mean, what a gift), the way they are both so lonely, and find in each other some solace. The way the fight together. Rey’s attempts to get through Kylo’s self-loathing to the man inside. But all that contrasted with their deeply different views of the world. Kylo’s inability not to be his worst self contrasted with Rey’s heroism. They’re enemies who could be allies, friends, lovers, and the tragedy of not quite getting there, or the joy if they do, are both really appealing to me.

Prompts, expansion on freeforms, etc.: General prompts that can be combined with any/many of my freeforms as you see fit, and a few clarifying thoughts:

• Grand Romantic Gesture - Breaking Moral Principle as Romantic Gesture: I was mostly thinking of this as Kylo, though if you want to have Rey do something dark I’d be interested.
  
  
• For any dubcon/forced to do it scenarios, I want them to be mutually pining and to get off despite the circumstances, though it can be otherwise super traumatizing (see my general likes for more on that!)
  
  
• I think of the force bond as a kind of soulbond and would totally count using that as filling those freeforms
  
  
• One or the other is captured by the other side
  
  
• Stranded in a dangerous situation together
  
  
• Forced together by the force
  
  
• Forced to marry/sleep together/etc. by a returned Palpatine/some other Big Villain because they want special force babies.

A note on other characters and ships: Feel free to include whoever. Please don’t ship either of them with other people (though third-party non-con that going with my freeforms is fine). If it’s in some way relevant I also ship Finn/Poe, Leia/Han, and Leia/Holdo. Please don’t include non-canon ships not listed here (though brief background/backstory mention of past sexual experiences or characters having parents or the like is fine).

Request specific DNW: Unrequested non-canon ships, any AUs including canon divergence, sex that is completely pleasureless for one or both, even in dubcon scenarios.
