Off the bat, even though I’ve written a lot here, I want to say I’m actually very easy to please. As long as you stick in the general area of my likes and respect my DNWs, I’m going to be thrilled, so please do not feel constrained by this letter. The point of this exchange is for you to have fun!

Characters are the most important thing for me in fic. Even in smut, I love a focus on the characters: how they’re feeling, what the sex means to them, how they would talk during sex, emotional reveals during sex, etc.

“Come,” not “cum”

Accidental stimulation, being turned on by touch (or by intelligence/competence) at an inconvenient time

Banter, laughter, etc. during sex

Coming untouched or only with light touch, especially if it’s because of being turned on by praise or dirty talk

AUs: I like canon-divergent AUs where the fic is based in the canon setting but goes in a different direction after a certain installment, or changes the outcome of a certain event, but DNW other AU types. So please:

No AUs that change the canon setting, era, or rules of the universe (e.g., mundane AUs, addition of fantastical elements in a non-fantastical canon, soul mark worlds, A/B/O, high school setting, different jobs, etc.).

No AUs that drastically change the structure of character relationships or fundamentals of their identity (making people related who are not, erasing characters from existence, making major friendships or relationships never have happened, different first meetings, etc.).

A note on how the rest of this letter is organized: Obviously, the freeforms are the freeforms. I have also included ship-specific “other smut likes” in each section — a lot of these are things I also pulled out of the tagset as being very appealing, but which didn’t, for one reason or another, strike me as the most interesting thing to match on all on their own. But I obviously quite enjoy them or they wouldn’t be there. Some are kind of repetitive of the above for special emphasis in relationship to the ship/in case people don’t feel like reading the above.

My sections are otherwise a mix of thoughts on the relationship generally, thoughts on different sexual dynamics I’m interested in for the specific ship, general prompts, and occasionally prompts linked to specific freeforms. Don’t take the singling out of certain freeforms as a suggestion they are the ones I want the most — that’s just a product of me either having a specific idea, or feeling like a certain freeform needs more explanation. And, to be clear, these prompts are supposed to be helpful, not constraining. I also see freeforms as acting as prompts on their own, so if you have an idea based on a freeform that goes in another direction than my prompts, run with it. It’s probably better than my ideas anyway!

Similarly, do not take one ship section being longer than another as a suggestion that I want it more. I just have more thoughts for certain ships, mostly as a product of requesting a larger range of things. But I haven’t requested anything I wouldn’t be thrilled to receive! (I know I’ve requested the bare minimum here, but that’s because I was pressed for time and found writing this letter exhausting. Why I requested it: I love, love, love the platonic friendship they have in canon, but I also think they have mad chemistry and have started shipping it like burning in the last few seasons. And hey, that’s exactly what fic is for, right?

How I see the relationship: They get each other at a fundamental level, and they’re so comfortable with each other. At this point, they’re the only two who have been at Seattle-Grace-Grey-Sloan-Mercy-Death for the exact same amount of time, and they each understand what the other has been through. They trust each other totally, will always go to the bat for each other, and it’s just lovely. Also, mad chemistry. Mer gets up in his space so much!

In terms of what I’m looking for, I’d prefer something sweet/fluffy/fun, romantic, or H/C with emphasis on the comfort. Basically, these two are a happy-place ship for me, so my goal here is simply to see them enjoy getting it on with each other.

A note on other characters: Feel free to incorporate whatever other characters or ships you see fit. I do like Jo, so please try to treat her kindly/don’t demonize her. Definitely no cheating, please (that’s a hard DNW)! I’m fine with her and Alex having divorced for any reason other than “she’s awful.” I’m also fine with her having died (this is Grey’s, after all), or just leaving it ambiguous/not mentioning why they aren’t together any more. Or hey, if you want to go poly for these three, I’m open to it. Same with DeLuca: no cheating, but breakups or death is fine. Am not as interested in seeing poly there.

Why I requested it: This is my MCU OTP. There can never be enough fic of them for me, simple as that.

How I see the relationships: I really like to see this ship portrayed with: a) a strong sense of mutual affection, where they are both incredibly important to each other; b) a strong sense of mutual compatibility despite the age difference (I like them bonding over science and superheroing and the loses they've both suffered and how hard it is for other people to understand them); and most importantly, c) a strong sense that their relationship is ultimately a real positive for both of them. While I think the fact that they have a big age gap and power dynamic difference is part of what makes the ship interesting, I really do not want any flavor of Tony manipulating Peter or Peter feeling used or put in a bad position by Tony — other characters can think that’s what’s going on, Tony can be really self-conscious and worried about making sure that’s not what’s happening, but I ultimately I want their internal dynamic to be a good one.

That said, I also like that this ship has a lot of potential for angst and pining, so feel free to lean into that if you want. I love Tony realizing he’s attracted to Peter and feeling tons of guilt about it and resisting acting on it for as long as possible; I love Peter realizing he has feelings for Tony but assuming he could never see him that way. I like either or both being super damaged by the events of IW, especially if it results in overprotectiveness and intense focus on each other. That said, fluffier/fun fic is great, too!

I like pre-relationship and getting-together fic for these two best of all. And ultimately, I would also like any fic for this pair to end on at least a hopeful note, even for the dubcon-y and angsty requests.

Tone can range all over the place for either broad category: Consensual could be anything from fun/light to super angsty and involving people in bad emotional spaces (IW! Pining! Tony’s guilt! Drinking too much!); consent issues can range from heavy on the whump to super enthusiastic and fun, with sex pollen and etc. as an excuse for them to do what they want anyway. All of my above likes apply to either category.

Consensual

• I adore superheros who keep pushing themselves to the limit, or keep getting back up no matter how many times they get knocked down. So anything where one or both of them do that and the other comforts them afterwards is great
  
• Feel free to whump the hell out of either of them. Bad guys can be really bad to them, as long as they then get a lot of comfort afterwards. If Peter is the one being whumped, I like it when fic plays with the fact that he can take a *lot* of pain. He had a building dropped on him!
  
• Nightmares. Insomnia. Some combination thereof. Sharing a bed helps them sleep, and then leads to more. Etc.
  
• Panic attack during sex: Gimme angst. Esp. if it’s related to being like “oh god I really care about this person, oh god what if I lose them??” Tony seems like the more obvious candidate here, but I am happy to see it go either way.
  
• Someone creeps on Peter. Maybe a bad guy, maybe just a rando at a party. Tony does not like it.

Jealousy

• I can see jealousy running either way. I tend to see Tony as the one more likely to be possessive in sex, but feel free to try to sell me in the other direction ;)

Touch starved

• I was imagining this one would fit well with IW. Like, maybe Tony hasn’t touched anyone since Peter died, or Peter was stuck in the soul stone unable to touch anyone for what feels like forever, or after coming back Peter gets super withdrawn, something like that.

Waiting, giving in, etc.

• They wait until the moment Peter turns 17 (or the moment he graduates or some such if you prefer 18+)
  
• They say they are going to wait until X, but keep giving in
  
• They say they are going to wait until X, but break that one time, and then Peter keeps pushing to do it again while Tony tries very, very hard to resist

Consent Issues

Fuck or Die and the Like

• I really, really like bad-guys-or-aliens-or-magic-made-them-do-it/sex pollen/scientific-experiment-gone-wrong dub-con scenarios for these two, but only if they are both already into each other. Mutually pining, not already together is the sweet spot for this, for me. A version where either of them does not want the other is a hard DNW for this.
  
  
• That said, if you’re up for it, I am happy for it to otherwise be dark. The sex can be painful because they are forced to go too hard/fast/Peter is overstimulated/etc. It can be embarrassing/frightening/scary because of the situation. Either or both can feel like, as much as they want each other, they wish they were able to take it slower. But they key is I want them to find emotional comfort and sexual pleasure in the fact that at least it’s with each other.
  
  
• Alternatively, sex pollen, scientific experiments gone wrong, etc. as something that jump-starts a confession of desire and ends with them having enthusiastically consensual sex

  • If the only smut you’re writing is the rape, I would prefer it if the person being raped still gets off, and for that getting off to be tied to the Peter/Tony-ness of it (so, for instance: Peter manages to orgasm while being raped, because he’s looking into Tony’s eyes and Tony is stroking his hair and telling him it’s going to be okay, etc.)
    
  • Alternatively, using this as a setup for comfort sex later also works, in which case the victim does not need to get off, just be somewhat comforted by the other’s presence.
  
  
• If you prefer the person being hurt to be tortured, then I would ask for comfort sex afterwards as the smut part of this request.
  
  
• Specific prompt that came to mind: Grandmaster made them do it (possibly publically), with another person (or persons) doing one of them.

A note on Peter’s age: I’m totally fine with underage, but would prefer him to be on the late side of 15 at the youngest (so, basically, post-Homecoming). I’m also fine with him being older. That said, the age difference and Peter being relatively young is part of the appeal, so I’d prefer if he stayed under 25 or so.

A note on timelines: I’d prefer fic where the events of Civil War and Homecoming happened as in canon, but after that, it’s free rein. Post-IW, post-Homecoming AU where IW never happens, or going divergent from some point in IW are all good with me.

A note on other characters/ships: Feel free to include whatever other characters you desire, and whatever ships between those other characters you may want. However, I DNW poly for Peter and Tony themselves.

When it comes to Tony and Pepper, I really like Pepper, and I DNW her dying or Tony cheating on her with Peter. I also DNW poly/open relationship for them. So I’d prefer a situation where they’ve broken up (or break up over the course of the fic, but before Tony and Peter get together). Alternatively, while I don't want an AU where she and Tony were never together, because to me that's too large a change in Tony's arc, I'm fine with an AU where they just never got back together post-Civil War. Or if you just don’t mention it, I’ll fill in the blank myself.

For Peter, I'm fine with mentions of his crush on Liz or other high school/college romances, but a DNW him cheating on anyone or poly.

Ship-specific DNWs: Poly, cheating, Pepper dying, Tony manipulating or otherwise taking advantage of Peter, Tony kinking on Peter’s youth (I would prefer it to be a neutral fact or a point of concern, not an active turn-on. Why I requested it: As I was going through the tagset for this exchange, I saw this pair and my eyes went wide and I said “ooooh” out loud. These two just have so much freaking chemistry, and I want nothing more than to see them bang at least one time, so they seemed like the perfect thing to request here.

How I see the relationships: Unlike my other two requests, where I have some pretty strong romantic shipping feels, here my only strongly held opinion is that these two definitely want to bang. I also feel like Lenny carries at least a bit of a torch for Midge, whether that is “mild crush” or “totally head over heels.” But beyond that, I can see the emotional landscape running the gamut. Here are the scenarios I’m most interested in seeing (as you can see, it covers a wide range of ground):

• Casual sex leads to deeper feelings
  
• Fuckbuddies who really like each other and provide emotional support, but are both content for it not to be more (either in a completely fun way, or in a bittersweet “it would be nice if our lives are different, but we know it wouldn’t work out so let’s keep it like this” way)
  
• Mutual pining/UST with eventual feels confession and hooking up
  
• Mutual pining within what’s supposed to be a casual hookup/fuckbuddies situation, with or without eventual feels confession
  
• One sided Lenny --> Midge, where they have a casual hookup or FWB situation but he cares more than he’s letting on
  
• They both think they’re better off as just friends, but give in to the UST one time

Other smut likes for them/some expansion on the freeforms:

• Banter! Talking during sex! Getting each other off with words! Etc. This show is all about the talking, and I’d love to see that worked into the sex, too.
  
• Clothing porn in general. Her dresses are so good!
  
• Competency kink: One being very turned on by the other being good at comedy; Lenny being turned on by Midge’s general ability to get what she wants

• Games, bets, etc: They find ways to amuse themselves while on the road together, or during a long night waiting to go on stage, or etc.

A note on timelines: I don’t have a strong preference — set after Season 2, or AU from sometime earlier all work.

A note on other characters/ships: Feel free to include whatever other characters you desire. I don’t really ship anything else with these two characters, but I find Midge and Joel’s relationship fascinating, so you don’t have to shy away from it if you want to include it. I’m fine with cheating, open relationships, whatever.
