Dear Just Married Author
Dear Just Married Writer,
Hello! You’ve matched on (or, if you’re a pinch hitter, chosen) one of these pairs and freeforms, which means we already have something in common. Excellent! I am so excited about this exchange, and thrilled to see what you come up with!
To start, even though I’ve written a fair amount here, I want to say I’m actually very easy to please. As long as you stick in the general area of my likes and respect my DNWs, I’m going to be delighted. Also, I’m equally excited about all of these options! Some sections are longer than others because I have more specific ideas about certain character combos (or because I was coping and pasting from past letters where I had more letter writing energy), but I didn’t request anything I wouldn’t be over the moon to receive.
Here’s what this letter contains. All requests are for fic.:
General Likes, Dislikes, and DNWs
Arthur Dent/Ford Prefect [HHGTG]
Bojack Horseman &/ Mr. Peanutbutter [BoJack Horseman]
Garrett McNeill &/ Jonah Simms [Superstore]
Peter Parker/Tony Stark [MCU] [Warning: Contains Endgame spoilers!]
Quentin Coldwater/Eliot Waugh [The Magicians]
Quentin Coldwater &/ William "Penny" Adiyodi [The Magicians]
Rey/Ben Solo | Kylo Ren [Star Wars]
Tenth Doctor/The Master (Simm) [Doctor Who]

Big Picture Points
Characters are the most important thing for me in fic. I certainly appreciate a good plot, but seeing more of the characters I love is my number one priority.
I’m fairly open on tone and genre — fluff, angst, and basically everything in-between is good by me.
For the pairs where I’ve requested ship fic, I generally define that broadly. Given the nature of the exchange, I imagine most ship fic will be on the shippier side rather than not, but if it ends up being more focused on pining/flirting/starting to come together side rather than full blown romance, I’m totally fine with that. If you want to write smut I’ve included information on my likes, but I’d be just as happy with something lower rated.
If it's useful, you can find my A03 account here.
General Likes Banter Being taken off guard by small displays of affection, unexpected tenderness, etc. (platonic or otherwise) Bonding over shared or similar trauma Characters having conversations we don’t get to see in canon Characters realizing what someone else means to them, especially when that realization comes as a surprise Characters revealing what someone else means to them, especially if they are nervous about it but it turns out the feelings are reciprocated Characters who keep getting back up no matter how many times they’re down in fights Complex, long lasting relationships with a rich sense of history Confessions of feelings when out of it (drunk, feverish, exhausted, etc.) Hurt/comfort [if you want ridiculous amounts of specifics on my H/C likes, you can check out my H/C letter] People who don’t like each other working together Stoic and/or emotionally closed off character being forced to accept help (emotional or physical) Strong character voices Tentative beginnings (romantic or otherwise) Time travel and time loops Trapped in an isolated or otherwise dangerous location Tropes! Especially:
Unlikely friendships UST and mutual pining Whump Wounded people slowly opening up Using (or even just mentioning) the fact that Peter Parker is suuuper strong.
Smut Likes Emphasis on what the sex means to the characters/the emotion of the moment “Come,” not “cum” Drunk/high sex Dom/sub dynamics that develop without the characters talking about it (but not negotiated BDSM relationships), and with particular emphasis on:
Sex in semi-public/public places
Tender sex, including:

Marriage Trope Likes
As you’ll see from my requested tags, I’m mostly in this for characters getting married (or pretending to get married) at an unexpected time, either before they are in a relationship, or before they’ve reached that point in a relationship. I’m interested in seeing how they deal with being thrown into that situation, and am totally down for you to lean into the potential awkwardness, humor, or angst, depending on what appeals to you the most.
Also, I think my chosen freeforms convey this, but just in case: my DNW of non-magical/sci-fi in non-fantasy/sci-fi canons hold. And in general, even though this is a tropey af exchange, I prefer that the way to tropes play out to fit the tone/world of the canon. So for Superstore and BoJack, I’m interested in wacky hijinks kinds of accidental marriage, whereas for the others, alien artifacts, magical spells, etc. are all fair game.
DNWs
General DNWs First or second person Identity headcanons (trans, race, other) (However, I'm fine with assuming a character’s sexuality is more fluid than canon may let on) Infidelity, unless okayed in the fandom specific section Kidfic involving non-canon children Permanent death of the requested characters Poly or otherwise open relationships (unless explicitly asked for in the prompts) Pregnancy There are also some fandom specific DNWs noted in the relevant sections
Sex Related DNWs Cross-dressing kink Daddy/mommy kink (in particular, use of the word “daddy” or “mommy”) Enemas Extended, on-screen consent negotiations Feeding, weight gain, inflation, anything in that realm Formalized BDSM Insertion of large objects, stretching, sounding Non-sexual body fluids in sex scenes (with the exception of a few drops of blood from scratching or because they were injured before sex) Roleplay scenarios Unrequested non-con Unrequested dub-con
For my age-difference ships where one character is underaged: the older character kinking on the younger one's youth (I would prefer it to be a neutral fact or a point of concern, not an active turn-on. They can -- and preferable should -- find the person hot, but without emphasis on "they look so young" or the like)
AU DNWs
I like canon-divergent AUs where the fic is based in the canon setting but goes in a different direction after a certain installment, or changes the outcome of a certain event, but DNW other AU types. So please:
A note about the structure of the fandom-specific sections: Since the freeforms work as prompts on their own, in the fandom-specific sections I mostly I focused on general thoughts about the relationships, with some prompts that can be mixed with a number of the freeforms, and expanded thoughts on certain freeforms.
This is all just meant to be helpful. Do not feel obligated to use any of my prompts if you have your own idea of where to go with the freeforms, and definitely do not take any singling out of specific freeforms as a suggestion I want those more. That just meant I had an idea or thought the specific freeform needed more clarification than some of the others. Remember, this letter is meant to be helpful, not burdensome or stressful!

Why I requested it: A longtime OTP of my heart, which just seems perfect for this exchange, because the HHGTG universe can accommodate any trope, basically.
What I like about the relationship: My favorite thing about this pair is that even though, objectively, there is no reason they should get along at all, they just seem drawn to each other. Why was Arthur friends with Ford when he thought he was an out of work actor? Why did Ford pick Arthur, of all the humans he’d met, to save when Earth was being destroyed? Why can’t they ever seem to shake each other? I like to think there’s more to it than either of them quite realize. Maybe being forced to get married would help them realize it!
I love the tone of the canon, and encourage you to lean into that. Feel free to make this as fun, wacky, bizarre as you want.
Prompts/Freeform, Thoughts
A note on timelines: Feel free to set this whenever in canon, or go AU from any point post-their escape from Earth. And I don’t mind if it’s not super firmly clear where in canon it’s set; I think of this series as more a collection of fun stories than a super firm timeline anyway.
A note on other characters: Include whoever! If you want to include other ships, including backstory Ford or Arthur/whoever, feel free.
Fandom specific DNWs: Unhappy ending.
BoJack Horseman

• Pretending to be Married for Method Acting
• Woke Up Married After A Drunk Night
Why I requested it: As far as I’m concerned this show is the best thing on TV right now, and I always want more. It’s depressing as fuck, and yet, the way the characters keep fumbling on, attempting to connect to each other and often support each other, even when maybe that’s ill advised, actually leaves me oddly hopeful and uplifted.
What I like about the relationship: When I first started watching this show, I never would have predicted finding this dynamic as interesting as I do. I love that BoJack sees Mr. Peanutbutter as a rival and an annoyance, and meanwhile Mr. Peanutbutter is all “this is my good friend BoJack, I love him so much.” It would have been so easy to have them just be rivals — especially because of the Diane of it all — and yet, the show refused to make it that simple. I’m also really curious to see if anything in their dynamic changes now that BoJack is maybe getting his shit together, while Mr. Peanutbutter is rushing into another disastrous marriage, and finally has more of a sense of his own flaws. (In general, the way that Mr. Peanutbutter’s happy-go-lucky attitude is clearly covering for darkness is what makes him so interesting to me. This scene really says it all.)
I requested both gen and ship, because I think it would be just as fun to see them dealing with these freeforms in a gen way as it would having them be a catalyst for them to get together. And if you do go shippy, I’m happy for it to be a complete disaster if you want.
Prompts/Freeform, Thoughts
A note on timelines: I’m most interested in seeing fic set after Season 5 for these two, though if you have an idea that goes AU from an earlier point that you’re just dying to do, go for it.
A note on other characters: Any and all other characters are welcome. I’m fine with infidelity, open relationships/poly (I suspect that BoJack would really not handle that well, and that would be fun to see), etc. in this fandom. I also ship PC/BoJack, Diane/BoJack and PC/Ralph, and while I don’t exactly ship Diane/Mr. Peanutbutter, I find their relationship fascinating and like seeing it explored. And really, I’m good with backstory or background any character/any character, except for pairings with Todd or Hollyhock. This is Hollywoo, baby, I’d buy that they’ve all had sex.
Fandom specific DNWs: None.

• Marriage Assumed to be Fake/Done as Prank is Actually Legally Binding
• Series of Mishaps Prevent Annulment of Accidental Marriage
• Woke Up Married After A Drunk Night
Why I requested it: I recently fell in love with this show. I just find it endlessly charming and fun (and I also love how political it is, so feel free to incorporate that if you want). These two are my fave pair in the whole thing.
What I like about the relationship: I love how Jonah is just completely desperate for any sign of approval or affection from Garrett, and how much Garrett totally knows that, and messes with him all the time (I find Garrett’s dry humor hilarious. And everything about him. I adore Garrett). But I think it’s clear that under that all, Garrett really cares about him too, it’s just hard for him to express that.
I requested both gen and ship, because I think it would be just as fun to see them dealing with these Freeforms in a gen way as it would be having them be a catalyst for them to get together.
Prompts/Freeform, Thoughts:
A note on timelines: I prefer this to be set after they’ve already become pretty good friends (probably after they moved in together), but beyond that, feel free to set it whenever.
A note on other characters and ships: Any and all other characters are welcome. I also ship Garrett/Dina if you want to incorporate that into the gen version or use it as backstory in the ship version. I also like Jonah/Amy. As mentioned in the prompts, feel free to incorporate that for the gen version. For the ship version, I definitely don’t want Jonah cheating on Amy (or Amy dying!). I’m fine with any of the following: setting this before they got together; AU where they never got together; break up before the fic; break up over the course of the fic as Jonah realizes things might go somewhere with Garrett.
Fandom specific DNW: Unhappy ending, Amy dying.

Why I requested it: This is my MCU OTP. There can never be enough fic of them for me, simple as that.
What I like about the relationship: I really like to see this ship portrayed with: a) a strong sense of mutual affection, where they are both incredibly important to each other; b) a strong sense of mutual compatibility despite the age difference (I like them bonding over science and superheroing and the loses they've both suffered and how hard it is for other people to understand them); and most importantly, c) a strong sense that their relationship is ultimately a real positive for both of them. I really do not want any flavor of Tony manipulating Peter or Peter feeling used or put in a bad position by Tony — other characters can think that’s what’s going on, Tony can be really self-conscious and worried about making sure that’s not what’s happening, but I ultimately I want their internal dynamic to be a good one.
That said, I also like that this ship has a lot of potential for angst and pining, so feel free to lean into that if you want. I love Tony realizing he’s attracted to Peter and feeling tons of guilt about it and resisting acting on it for as long as possible; I love Peter realizing he has feelings for Tony but assuming he could never see him that way. I like either or both being super damaged by the events of IW and Endgame, especially if it results in overprotectiveness and intense focus on each other.
Prompts/Freeform, Thoughts:
If you are interested in writing smut for this ship, I have more info on my specific smut likes for them in my Smut Swap letter (as you'll see, I prefer Peter as the sub if you incorporate that). For hurt/comfort, you can check out my H/C ex letter. Feel free to grab any prompts from those and combine them with the freeforms here; consider anything requested there as falling within "requested dubcon/noncon" where relevant.
A note on timelines: I’d prefer fic where the events of Civil War and Homecoming happened as in canon, but after that, it’s free rein. Post-Homecoming AU where Thanos never happened; AU from some point in IW or Endgame; Endgame fix-it: it’s all good! Though obviously for the resurrection-based stuff I was really thinking of that as post-Endgame, and that is where I’d most like to see it.
A note on other characters and ships: Feel free to include whatever other characters you desire, and whatever ships between those other characters you may want. However, I DNW poly for Peter and Tony themselves.
When it comes to Tony and Pepper, I really like Pepper, and I DNW her dying or Tony cheating on her with Peter. I also DNW poly/open relationship for them. So I’d prefer a situation where they’ve broken up, or break up over the course of the fic, or, if this is post-Endgame, a situation where she’s moved on before Tony is somehow brought back and he has to accept that. Alternatively, while I don't want an AU where she and Tony were never together, I'm fine with an AU where they just never got back together post-Civil War, or where they broke up post-IW or during the Endgame five years.
For Peter, I'm fine with mentions of his crush on Liz, MJ, or other high school/college romances, but a DNW him cheating on anyone or poly.
Morgan: Morgan is adorable, and Tony is adorable with her, so I’m fine with her existing, and for this exchange I am fine with Peter confronting the question of how he’d fit into her life if he’s staying married to Tony, if that’s something you want to handle. It’s also totally fine to have a P/T focus that barely mentions her. However, I like to think Tony is a good dad, so if you do have a world where she exists, please don’t make it impossible for Tony to be seeing her. Like, no, “and then they stayed married on an alien planet forever” or something. That said, also totally fine for you to AU her away if you don’t want to deal with her, even if you otherwise keep Endgame.
Fandom specific DNWs: Poly, cheating, Pepper dying, Tony manipulating or otherwise taking advantage of Peter, Tony kinking on Peter’s youth, Peter being under 15 or over 25, Peter and Tony having sex when they don’t both have feelings for each other, unhappy endings.

Why I requested it: I started this show after already knowing what goes down in the Season 4 finale, and I promised myself I wouldn’t fall for this ship. And then “Escape From the Happy Place” happened and I realized oh no, I had totally fallen for this ship. And now I desperately want it fixed (either through actually fix-it, or by AUing it away). Plus, this canon and all its delightful wackiness is perfect for these tropes, so that’s a double bonus.
What I like about the relationship: They are just so comfortable with each other. The depth of affection between them is incredible, and only got amped up to a million post-“A Life in the Day.” I mean, the way they look at each other. And god, the hope Q had when he asked Eliot to try a relationship, Eliot’s regret at turning him down…my heart. Proof of concept. They deserve a happy ending. I just, I want it. I want happiness for them.
That said, they also, I think, have a lot to work through given that backstory, and the rejection, and both of their various issues, so I’d love to see some of that conflict, too, especially in a situation where they go from zero to married because of magical shenanigans.
For any of these Freeforms, I’d be happy to see a range of where their relationship starts at, from “not in one, because of Eliot’s rejection and/or Q being with Alice and/or Q being dead and/or any of the number of reasons they might not be together despite having feelings” up through “have begun something, but are way far off from being ready for anything close to marriage.” Fuckbuddies in denial of the depth of their feelings, etc. is also good.
Prompts/Freeform, Thoughts:
A note on timelines: Obviously, for the resurrection connected prompts, I was really looking at it as a fix-it, but for everything else I’m happy to have you go AU if you want. “A Life in the Day” and the conversation we learned about in “Escape From the Happy Place” are key to my shipping, so I would like any canon divergence to happen after that point, but beyond that, totally free reign. Diverge at some point, just AU away Q’s death, have Eliot chase after him in the afterlife, have it set in some future point where they’ve figured out how to get him back after all: whatever you want!
A note on other characters and ships: Feel free to incorporate whatever other characters you want, and whatever non-Eliot and Q related ships you want. I would however prefer Eliot/Q to be monogamous.
Ship specific DNWs: Unhappy ending. If you would like to set this in the afterlife, I am fine with them both being and staying dead as long as they have a happy ending together.

• Time Loop Can Only Be Ended Through Marriage
Why I requested it: They are just too perfect for tropes involving people who really would not like to be married having to be married.
What I like about the relationship: The flip of Eliot/Q, I’ve been shipping Penny/Q since their first snarky interaction, and I still do. But I also love them as reluctant friends and allies in a non-shippy way, too. I just really like how they can never seem to quite get along — Penny’s open dislike of Q a lot of the time is so fun to me — and yet, have each others’ backs when needed. I am happy to see this any which way: platonic and learning to really like each other; platonic and kinda butting heads the whole time; shippy in a “start off annoyed but grow to really love each other” way; shippy in a “fuckbuddies who still snark and bristle at each other” way. Really, whatever you want!
Prompts/Freeform, Thoughts:
A note on timelines: I like it best when these two are at odds (or at least start out the fic that way), so I’d prefer either a) AU at some point before Penny became much more zen like we saw in the finale or b) afterlife shenanigans where it turns out Penny can only keep up the zen-ness for so long.
A note on other characters and ships: Incorporate whoever. I am happy for this to be open/poly/etc. if you want, or, if it’s gen, for Q and/or Penny to otherwise be in a relationship of some sort. That said, I’m not super excited about Penny/Kady or Q/Alice, so I’d prefer those not feature heavily. Other Q and Penny ships I do like are Q/Eliot (obviously), Q/Eliot/Margo, Penny/Margo (and I’d be down for Q/Eliot/Penny/Margo).
Ship specific DNWs: None. I am also waiving the “permanent death of requested characters” DNW for this one: if you want to have it set in the afterlife, that’s totally cool.

Rey/Ben Solo | Kylo Ren
• Alien Artifact Creates Marriage

• Forced to marry enemy or be killed
• Have to get married to bring balance to the Force
• Marriage to cure sex pollen

• Marriage to keep enemy under your control
• Marriage that results in soulbond to keep enemy under your control
• Secretly married to someone on the opposite side of the conflict
• Time Loop Can Only Be Ended Through Marriage
• Truth serum induces unexpected proposal
Why I requested it: This ship just goes straight to my id, and I think there is a lot of fun stuff that could happen with them with these tropes.
What I like about the relationship: These two are just — their relationship is everything I’ve ever wanted in a hero/villain ship. The intensity of their connection, the literal force connection (I mean, what a gift), the way they are both so lonely, and find in each other some solace. The way the fight together. Rey’s attempts to get through Kylo’s self-loathing to the man inside. But all that contrasted with their deeply different views of the world. Kylo’s inability not to be his worst self contrasted with Rey’s heroism. They’re enemies who could be allies, friends, lovers, and the tragedy of not quite getting there, or the joy if they do, are both really appealing to me.
As you'll see, this is not one where I am DNWing an unhappy ending. Anything from it working out to it being a complete disaster is fine with me. Their feelings for each other can be as complicated and twisty and tense as you want them to be, and I'm fine with feelings being unbalanced (particularly in the direction of "Kylo is really into Rey, but Rey has shut down whatever feelings she might have had for him").
If you want to go with smut for these two and want to incorporate D/s dynamics, I prefer Rey as the dom.
Prompts/Freeform, Thoughts:
I generally love H/C for these two. If you're interested, you can get more info on my likes and prompts for that at my h/c exchange letter. Feel free to combine any ideas from there with the freeforms here if you're so inspired.
A note on timelines: I’m not interested in canon divergence for this canon. Post TLJ, please!
A note on other characters and ships: Feel free to include whoever. Please don’t ship either of them with other people. If it’s in some way relevant I also ship Finn/Poe, Leia/Han, and Leia/Holdo. Please don’t include ships not listed here.
Fandom specific DNWs: Unrequested ships, any AUs including canon divergence.

Why I requested it: I was revisiting Season 2 recently, and was reminded how freaking great they are, and how perfect both the Doctor Who universe and this ship are for this exchange.
What I like about the relationship: Another perfect enemy ship for me. There’s so much history, and love as well as hate. Ten wants so very badly to connect, to redeem him, and The Master is so resistant, and yet obviously also so drawn to, almost obsessed with The Doctor. It’s just, it’s fantastic. Force them to get married? Yes please!
Definitely feel free to take it in any direction you want: funny and zany, dark and angsty and dealing with all their shared history, anything in between. Happy, unhappy, bittersweet endings are all good.
Prompts/Freeform, Thoughts:
A note on timelines: Whenever you think makes sense works for me! Happy to see it go AU.
A note on other characters and ships: Include whoever you want. Does not have to be monogamous, and feel free to indulge in the Master being jealous or competitive about other relationships the Doctor has if you so desire. I also ship Ten/Rose and Ten/Jack.
Fandom specific DNWs: None.

Quentin Coldwater &/ William "Penny" Adiyodi [The Magicians]
Rey/Ben Solo | Kylo Ren [Star Wars]
Tenth Doctor/The Master (Simm) [Doctor Who]
Big Picture Points
General Likes
- Fake dating, where the stakes are commensurate with medium-to-high stakes for the canon (so, for MCU, probably something mission related)
- Forced to share a bed, huddle for warmth, hide in a tight space, anything along those lines
- Accidental soulbonds: This is a new like for me, but I have a need
- I like the idea of any combo of: they can feel a sense of each others’ emotions and/or physical sensations; it hurts or is otherwise uncomfortable to be too far apart; it feels esp. good to touch each other; that kind of thing
- I’m not so interested in actually being about to read each others’ thoughts
- I esp. like the idea of this being super uncommon/caused by some weird sort of spell or sci-fi whatever, so they have no idea what’s going on at first
Smut Likes
- the sub getting off on pleasing the dom
- the dom praising the sub (and the sub getting off on that)
- bondage and blindfolds
- hair pulling, scratching, manhandling, and generally rough sex
- choking (on cocks or otherwise)
- Face fucking
- pain, but nothing that would draw more than a little blood or lead to permanent damage (nipple clamps and spanking are great/the level I’m aiming at)
- If I have preferences as to who is in which role I'll mention it in the fandom section; if not, assume I have no preference

General DNWs
- For the fandoms where I DNW "unhappy ending," don't stress about it too much; I'm just asking for not a total downer ending. So, generally looking for the characters being together and working towards a good relationship (or, if it's for a gen pair, their friendship still being intact). It doesn't have to be total fluff or all their problems solved or anything (unless that's what you want to write, in which case, go for it!).
Sex Related DNWs
- However, I am fine with drunk!sex, or sex on drugs, as long as the characters are subjectively aware of what they're doing while they are having sex.
- I requested a number of sex pollen and marriage-consummation-to-maintain-cover requests. Those all count as requested dubcon. Basically: if you think the freeform has dubcon-y elements, I am sure I do too and am counting it as “requested” for the purposes of this DNW.
AU DNWs
I like canon-divergent AUs where the fic is based in the canon setting but goes in a different direction after a certain installment, or changes the outcome of a certain event, but DNW other AU types. So please:
- No AUs that change the canon setting, era, or rules of the universe (e.g., mundane AUs, addition of fantastical elements in a non-fantastical canon, soul mark worlds, A/B/O, high school setting, different jobs, etc.).
- No AUs that drastically change the structure of character relationships or fundamentals of their identity (making people related who are not, erasing characters from existence, making major friendships or relationships never have happened, etc.).

• Proposal after a near death experience
• Time Loop Can Only Be Ended Through Marriage
• Woke Up Married After A Drunk Night
- For any of these freeforms, I’m mostly interested in the thing happening before they get together. Were one or both already pining? Or is this what made them realize hey, maybe there are feelings?
- Do they need to get married because of a weird confluence of politics? Because for some reason it’s the only way to save their lives? Accidental marriage because they didn’t realize they were doing an alien marriage ceremony? I want it all!
- Crashing A Wedding So Character Can Marry One Of The Participants Instead/Having To Convince The Person They're Asking That Their Proposal And Feelings Are Genuine/ Proposal after a near death experience: I’d esp. love it if whichever one is getting married/being proposed to had no idea the other felt that way about them.
- Fake Married on a Reality Show: Wacky alien reality show hijinks? Yes please!
- Forced to Marry Due to Soulbond: I was thinking something like: accidental soulbond somehow, and now if they don’t get married it hurts!
- Getting Married So You Can't Testify Against Each Other in Court: What did Ford do this time?!

Bojack Horseman &/ Mr. Peanutbutter
• Accidental Marriage
• Characters Keep "Forgetting" to Annul Accidental Marriage
• Characters playing married in a movie or play actually develop feelings
• Crashing A Wedding So Character Can Marry One Of The Participants Instead
• Crashing a Wedding to Prevent a Bad Marriage
• Fake Marriage Made Real by Helpful Third Party
• Fake Marriage to Piss Off the Press
• Fake Marriage Turns Into Real Love
• Fake Married on a Reality Show
• Marriage To Avoid Scandal
• Marriage Assumed to be Fake/Done as Prank is Actually Legally Binding
• Media Have Strong Reaction to Marriage
• Series of Mishaps Prevent Annulment of Accidental Marriage
- BoJack and Mr. Peanutbutter are playing married in a movie or play. They get too into it, or it makes them develop real feelings, or they somehow accidently sign a real marriage license or any combination thereof!
- Fake Marriage Made Real by Helpful Third Party: They get fake married for Reasons (method acting, prank, avoiding/creating scandal, whatever you come up with), but Todd, or a confused assistant, or someone thinks it’s supposed to be real and somehow makes that happen
- Anything with the media: media reacting to their marriage (fake or otherwise); getting married or fake married (or fake-but-accidently-real) married in reaction to something in the media or as a PR stunt, etc.
- Maybe a fake or accidental marriage leaks, and it turns out they are very popular with the fans, so they just keep going with it.
- Fake Married on a Reality Show: Maybe trying to revive flagging careers?
- Crashing A Wedding So Character Can Marry One Of The Participants Instead: would love it if the one whose marriage is being crashed had no idea the other felt that way.
- Crashing a Wedding to Prevent a Bad Marriage: I was thinking BoJack trying to save Mr. PB from his disastrous idea of marrying Pickles, but up to you! Could also be fun to see this with either of them getting (re)married to Diane.

Garrett McNeill &/ Jonah Simms
• Accidental Marriage
• Characters Keep "Forgetting" to Annul Accidental Marriage
• Fake Married on a Reality Show
• Fake Wedding To Obtain Gifts From Rich People (and they really RSVP)
• Long time roommates realize they are considered common law married
• Married so they can put rlly expensive kitchen ware on their registry
- It all starts as a prank, but somehow gets much more legal than it was supposed to
- Married so they can put rlly expensive kitchen ware on their registry: Somehow, this seemed like a great plan at the time
- Fake Married on a Reality Show: My thought: they want to go on some reality show where you need to be a pair, and they figured they’d have a better shot getting on if they said they were a couple, only now they have to keep up the act
- Fake Wedding To Obtain Gifts From Rich People (and they really RSVP): Well, it seemed like a good way to scam Jonah’s rich [insert relative(s) here]
- If you’re going for the gen version for any of these, feel free to incorporate Jonah/Amy and how Amy reacts. Is she frustrated as they fail to annual an accidently-legal marriage? If it’s a marriage to get something (reality show, gifts) does she think it’s a hilarious, great idea, or terrible?

• Accidental Marriage
• Alien Artifact Creates Marriage

• Time Travel Backward To Fix The Past Also Results In Unexpectedly Getting Married
• Trapped In Fake Perfect World That Includes Marriage They Don't Believe They Can Ever Really Have
• Undercover as Married While Mutually Pining
• Truth serum induces unexpected proposal
- Any sort of forced marriage due to alien/magical hijinks is loved. I’d esp. love a situation where either a) both have been pining and this forces feelings revelations (maybe after some pining quietly in the marriage first), or b) one has been pining and keeps pining, until it turns out this situation caused the other to have the “oh wow, I have feelings too” revelation.
- Chastity Device Only Unlocks upon Marriage to Person Who Accidentally Applied It: Magic and/or playing around with alien stuff you don’t understand gone wrong! Happy to see either in either role. Feel free to lean into the potential hilarity here.
- A Game Of 'Fuck Marry Kill' Somehow Becomes Magically Binding: I was imagining this one as Peter being the one to have played the game, though if Tony did it (maybe in an ill-advised, drunk conversation with a shady magician or somesuch), that would also be great.
- For the resurrection ones, I was really thinking of these as Endgame fixes. Please feel free to lean into the angst and how fucked up they both are about everything that has happened because of Thanos.
- Marriage to cure sex pollen: happy to have this sex pollen work however you want. Maybe they are desperately turned on but just able to resist actually doing anything. Maybe they have to bone all the time. Anywhere in between. But, if you do this, I prefer it be a situation where they were already into each other, but resisting acting on it. Mutually pining is the sweet spot for me for this kind of dubcon. That said, the actual sex can be rough/too much/etc. because of the pollen if you want.
- married as cover but unexpectedly have to consummate it in ritual: Feel free to make this a public ritual if you want. Feel free to have it be awkward and weird, but I want them to both be into each other by the time they are actually having sex, even if they are not into the situation.
- Secret Marriage Becomes Public: Obviously for this one, established relationship is fine. I’d love to see the fallout, amongst their friends and/or the media. If you want to combine this with a fake/undercover marriage instead of it being established relationship, that is also great!
- Truth serum induces unexpected proposal: Can be at any point in a relationship, before they are even in one included/encouraged.
- For anything involving time travel, time loops, etc., I am zero percent concerned with making the time travel work in the same way as canon. If it works differently because they did different science/magic/whatever, that’s totally good enough for me. And if you are trying to make it fit with canon, I honestly have no thoughts on the Great Time Travel Debates of 2019, so whatever your interpretation the rules is will be fine with me.

- For the freeforms that don’t specify if the marriage is accidental or not (like “magic artifact creates marriage,” etc.) I am happy to see it go either way. Maybe it’s an accident. Maybe they knew but were the only ones around and they needed to touch the object/do the spell/etc. Maybe they knew and agreed to be the ones who get married because they do have feelings for each other (acknowledged already or not). Whatever you want!
- Accidental Marriage due to Misunderstanding the Norms of Another Culture: adventures in other realms go wrong.
- Forced to Marry Due to Soulbond: some sort of accidental soulbond requires marriage. Or intentional soulbond because they needed it to make a spell work. Or etc.
- Marriage Causes Unexpected Magical Effects. Feel free to get creative and wacky with this; you know the show would! I have nothing in particular in mind.
- Marrying someone to prevent someone else doing so: could be to escape a political marriage, something to do with a spell or curse, godly manipulation, whatever.
- Woke Up Married After A Drunk Night: Feel free to have this be either normal married or marriage with some sort of magical consequences (could be, for instance, combined with the soulbond or “unexpected magical effects” freeforms).

- Forced Marriage Leads to Genuine Feelings: happy to see this forced marriage happen for any number of reasons. Magical necessity. Spell gone wrong. Political necessity. The gods will it so. It’s the one way to escape the afterlife somehow. It gets Penny out of his contract with the library. Whatever.
- For the freeforms that don’t specify if the marriage is accidental or not (like “magic artifact creates marriage,” etc.) I am happy to see it go either way. Maybe it’s an accident. Maybe they knew but were the only ones around and they needed to touch the object/do the spell/etc. Maybe they knew and agreed to be the ones who get married because it was somehow the best option of the possible combos.
- Marrying someone to prevent someone else doing so: could be to escape a political marriage, something to do with a spell or curse, godly manipulation, whatever. I imagine for Penny and Q to agree to this, the “someone else” would have to be bad somehow, but it could also be self-sacrifice so that their other friends don't have to.
- People Stuck in Time Loop Get Married and then Time Loop Ends Unexpectedly: I was thinking that they get stuck in a timeloop so long they really develop feelings, and then somehow have to explain what has happened to their friends.
- Resurrection Sex Spell Gone Wrong Results in Unbreakable Magical Marriage Bond: Resurrecting Penny in an AU? The others attempt to resurrect them both, and they come back married? Etc.

• Forced to Marry Due to Soulbond
• Forced to marry enemy or be killed
• Have to get married to bring balance to the Force
• Marriage to cure sex pollen
• Marrying to protect someone from danger
• People Stuck in Time Loop Get Married and then Time Loop Ends Unexpectedly
- Forced to Marry Due to Soulbond: I was mostly thinking the force bond as a soulbond for this. Something happens with it that requires marriage.
- Forced to marry enemy or be killed: the FO captures Rey, and Kylo uses that to his advantage, saying marry me or die? Palpatine is back and forces them to marry because he's convinced that's important for Reasons?
- Marriage to keep enemy under your control/Marrying to protect someone from danger: The resistance captures Kylo and Rey says "don’t kill him, I’ll marry him instead," or visa-versa?
- In any of these forced marriage situations, dubcon married sex is a-okay.
- Secret relationship becomes a marriage as the war rages on, and how they navigate that? Kylo becoming a spy on the inside out of love for Rey?

• Undercover as Married
- Instead of the Master dying at the end of Season 2, he goes traveling with the Doctor, and then one of these accidental marriage things happens
- Instead of the Master dying at the end of Season 2, he goes traveling with the Doctor, but the Doctor insists they get married (with or without Soul Bond or some other sort of sci-fi enforcement) as a way of keeping him in line.
- Don’t have to set it post-Season 2, that just occurred to me because I was watching it!
- For all the undercover related ones, there are all sorts of reasons they could team up, and I'm happy for anything you think of! Some ideas: reluctant allies against a greater evil? The Master has an angle he's playing by agreeing to it, but didn't expect things to go in this direction? The Master is traveling with The Doctor post Season 2, and has somewhat become a companion? Etc.
- For the freeforms that don’t specify if the marriage is accidental or not (like “alien artifact creates marriage,” etc.) I am happy to see it go either way. Maybe it’s an accident. Maybe they knew but were the only ones around and they needed to touch the object or whatever it is. Maybe they knew and agreed to be the ones who get married because it was somehow the best option. Or the Doctor forced the subject to save others. Or the Master did it on purpose to mess with the Doctor. Whatever!
