Candy Hearts 2024

Tue, 02 Jan 2024 21:45:42 GMT

Dear Candy Hearts Creator,

Hello! I’m LearnedFoot on A03! You’ve matched (or, if you’re a pinch hitter, chosen) on at least one of these fandoms/characters/ships, which already means we have things in comment. Excellent! I am very excited to see what you come up with!

To start, even though I’ve written a fair amount here, I want to say I’m actually very easy to please. As long as you stick in the general area of my likes and respect my DNWs, I’m going to be delighted. Also, I’m equally excited about all of these options! Some sections are longer than others because I have more specific ideas about certain fandoms, but I didn’t request anything I wouldn’t be over the moon to receive.

I have requested both fic and art for all requests, and would also be open to treats in either medium for all.

Battleship Letter

Tue, 30 Jun 2020 20:56:00 GMT

ETA: For the purposes of treats, I am opting into anything I have requested in exchanges. I have tried to make a list with a link to at least one letter at the end.

ETA 2: For the purposes of the witch challenge, I am opting in to a lot of tags, but not all of them, and not all for all fandoms. You can see my list here.

Dear Battleship Creator,

Hello! You’ve matched (or, if you’re a pinch hitter, chosen) on one of these fandoms and character(s)/ship(s), which already means you love something I love. Excellent! I am very excited to see what you come up with!

To start, I’m doing this letter a little differently and more low-key than most, both to preserve my own sanity (I’m requesting a lot of different things!) and to double emphasize that this exchange is really meant to be loose and fun—I would’ve tried to keep it to the signup box, but I do already have this nice general likes list, and I know letters are easier to bookmark.

I’ve mostly not included prompts, just some thoughts on the characters/ships I like which, combined with the freeforms, will hopefully be inspiring! I’ve linked to past letters for requests where I have them in case you want more specific prompts, but in no way EXPECT you to check those out. (And if I don’t have past letters for a specific ship or fandom, don’t take that as a lack of interest! I’m super excited about everything I’m requesting).

Here’s what this letter contains. All requests are for both fic and art. I also requested vids for a fair number of them. I haven’t requested podfic because, quite honestly, I’m not even sure how to go about requesting that in a useful way and don’t have the brain space to figure it out. BUT! If something here inspires you, I’m very happy to receive podfic treats. I am also happy to recieve vid treats for my x-over fandoms, I just wasn't really sure what I would want there, but if you have an idea, I'm sure I will love it!

Equality Auction

Thu, 18 Jun 2020 21:18:40 GMT

equalityauction is a currently-open-for-offers auction to support BLM and related charities! If you haven't already, you should check it out -- a ton of awesome, talented people are offering a bunch of great stuff.

I, personally, am offering three 1k fic for $25 each. This is for the "buy it now" format rather than auction, so it's first come, first serve. The buy-it-now opens June 20.

I'm serious about the word limit (that's why I'm not doing a full auction -- I need to keep these projects contained), but I'm very flexible on what I'm writing. Open to a lot of different fandoms, plus I'm willing to write AUs (which I normally don't), missing scenes or sequels or etc. for my fics, etc. So if you're interested, check it out! And if you have questions about what I'd be willing to write, hit me up in DMs.

Fandom Trumps Hate

Wed, 26 Feb 2020 01:21:53 GMT

Hi friends! I’m offering two MCU fics for Fandom Trumps Hate, one 5k or under, and one 5-10k. Bidding is currently open!

I’m willing to write any MCU gen, any MCU femslash, and, of course, Peter/Tony. I'm also open to doing crossovers with any fandom you know I'm into, and most especially Doctor Who! More details on my offers here. If there is any other ship you're interested in seeing me write or anything other idea you want to run by me, feel free to hit me up in the comments, or email me at learnedgoot@gmail.com [no, that's not a typo! G, not F].

I feel like most of you are aware of what my writing is like, but you can find me on AO3 here.

As long as you stick in the general area of my likes/freeforms and respect my DNWs, I’m going to be delighted. Also, I’m equally excited about all of these options! Some sections are longer than others because I have more specific ideas about certain character combos (or because I was copying and pasting from past letters where I had more letter writing energy), but I didn’t request anything I wouldn’t be over the moon to receive.

Here’s what this letter contains. Requests are for a mix of fic and art, and I’d be thrilled to receive treats in either medium and type for all requests.

(Belated) Year in Fic Review

Wed, 08 Jan 2020 03:28:49 GMT

This is a week late, but whateves. For posterity, some thoughts on my fic writing in 2019:

I wrote exactly 290k this year, and I’m pretty proud of a lot of what I wrote. So, some reflections on my own work, for posterity’s sake if nothing else:

ChocoBox 2020 Letter

Sun, 29 Dec 2019 20:09:49 GMT

Dear ChocoBox Creator,

Hello! You’ve matched (or, if you’re a pinch hitter, chosen) on one of these pairs, which already means you love something I love. Excellent! I love this exchange, and am very excited to see what you come up with!

To start, even though I’ve written a fair amount here, I want to say I’m actually very easy to please. As long as you stick in the general area of my likes and respect my DNWs, I’m going to be delighted. Also, I’m equally excited about all of these options! Some sections are longer than others because I have more specific ideas about certain character combos (or because I was copying and pasting from past letters where I had more letter writing energy), but I didn’t request anything I wouldn’t be over the moon to receive.

If it’s helpful, my AO3 is LearnedFoot. Here’s what this letter contains. Requests are for a mix of fic and art, and I’d be thrilled to receive treats in either medium for all requests:
